Whether your major concern is the rising likelihood of an impending third world war, the indictment of rap mogul Diddy, or some other massive news story, you may be missing a number of shocking developments that are slipping through the cracks. Such is the case for the fatal shooting death of justice Kevin Mullins at the hands of a Kentucky sheriff. Per a shocking courtroom video shared across social media, the sheriff, whose name is Shawn “Mickey” Stines, can be seen murdering the judge in cold blood in the middle of his Letcher County Courthouse office.

See the footage shared in the courtroom below.

Stines then fires multiple shots at point-blank range, before circling the desk and continuing to fire additional shots at the judge’s bleeding corpse.

The video, which depicts the shooting, has been shared to X (formerly Twitter) by an account known as The Vigilant Fox, who self-identifies as a citizen journalist. According to the poster, the story surrounding the Kentucky sheriff is one of several that have been obfuscated by the media in recent days. The incident itself took place more than 2 weeks ago at the time of this writing, and has indeed received very little media coverage.

From what we can surmise based on the video evidence, the judge was seated at his desk reviewing documents when the Kentucky sheriff stormed into the room with his weapon drawn. The video displays the now-deceased justice raising his hands as though he’s trying to calm Stines down, obviously to no avail.

Though the video evidence seems extremely straightforward, the Kentucky sheriff has entered a plea of not guilty, prompting the trial to continue.

Though the social media edit of this harrowing video is blurred to censor the carnage, an uncensored version of the footage was displayed in the courtroom, and seen by numerous witnesses.

As the footage concludes, the camera pans to the courtroom as Stines and his attorneys sit in stunned silence. Several women can be heard weeping and whimpering, while others have turned away from the screen to prevent themselves from seeing the shocking footage. One thing that is certainly not clear at this time is the Kentucky sheriff’s motive, if he indeed had any. Stines surrendered to his peers when they came to arrest him for the judge’s slaying without putting up a fight or arguing for his innocence, despite his eventual not guilty plea. According to reports, Stines claims that he saw “something” of a disturbing nature on Judge Mullins’ cell phone, which somehow connected back to Stines’ own daughter.

Authorities confirmed that the Kentucky sheriff called his daughter after the slaying both from his own phone and from Mullins’ number, while phone records prove that additional calls were made from the judge’s phone before the shooting incident occurred. Social media users have theorized that the judge may have been pursuing the sheriff’s daughter romantically, or engaging in an inappropriate sexual relationship with her, though these claims have not been verified, nor proven at this time.

As the story continues to unfold with Shawn Stines’ trial, more information is sure to be revealed. Regardless of how the debacle concludes, Stines is no longer a Kentucky sheriff, as he has stepped down from the office following his arrest.
