Tom Hardy Venom 3

If you’ve ever wanted to see Tom Hardy turn an innocent horse into a black symbiote-possessed monstrosity, galloping furiously with its enormous tongue leaking out of its mouth, now’s your chance: the new trailer for Venom 3, Venom: The Last Dance is out and it’s a sight to behold. The trailer promises an adrenaline-pumping finale to the thrilling saga. It also should entail incredible sequences showcasing Venom’s signature abilities, as compelling CGI has the brain-eating, symbiotic antihero chomping and stretching his way through baddies and horses alike.

Venom: The Last Dance hits theaters October 25.

As can be seen in the trailer, Tom Hardy’s Venom 3 locates Eddie and Venom in dire straights indeed; they’re evidently on the run, hunted by both terrestrial forces—deep state, special forces-style soldiers—and extraterrestrial foes—deep space, if you will, aliens plummeting to Earth.

The final chapter is slated to tie up any loose ends and expand the Venom universe.

The trailer is rife with high-stakes action spectacles, culminating in perhaps the best scene in the preview: a jaw-dropping moment in which Hardy’s character reluctantly possesses a horse with Venom and rockets off into the desert with it. The symbiote-infused steed contributes a new dimension to Venom’s skillset and provides fresh excitement alongside a gripping demonstration of symbiotic power.

The trailer also introduces audiences to a new, monstrous alien from Venom’s home planet–its entry ramps up the tension, already heightened tremendously by the relentless government agents pursuing Tom Hardy’s unique antihero in Venom 3

The film should be enriched by its star-studded cast, which includes Juno Temple, beloved for her role in the streaming hit Ted Lasso, and Chiwetel Ejiofor from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

While not earning as much [as the original], the successful [Venom: Let There Be Carnage] still brought in $502 million globally, which is especially impressive considering it was a pandemic debut.

The final chapter is slated to tie up any loose ends and expand the Venom universe. Many remember the post-credits scene in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which hinted at Venom’s (brief) dalliance with the MCU. This development was sparked, as many remember, by Dr. Strange’s incredibly anarchic multiverse spell.

While Venom was zapped back to his universe, he left a significant piece of his symbiote in his wake, overtly implying crossover possibilities.

Confirmed at CinemaCon 2022, Tom Hardy’s Venom 3 doubtlessly rides on the notable success of its predecessors, like the original Venom, which grossed a whopping $856 million worldwide. While not earning as much, the successful Let There Be Carnage still brought in $502 million globally, which is especially impressive considering it was a pandemic debut.

Unsurprisingly, this level of commercial success more than cemented the eventuality of a third installment, and fans are certainly eager to lap up (like Venom’s tongue) this conclusion to the trilogy.

It may be a good sign to comic book devotees that Kelly Marcel, who penned the scripts for the first two films, will make her directorial debut with Venom: The Last Dance. Interestingly, Marcel co-wrote the script with none other than Tom Hardy, meaning Venom 3 could be especially noteworthy–for that alone.

To put it mildly, the third installment of the Venom saga should be an interesting experience. Check out the trailer before catching the film in theaters on October 25.
