Emily In Paris Season 4 Netflix Release Announced, Perfect Time to Binge
Emily in Paris Season 4 is coming to Netflix in two parts, arriving in August and September. If you haven’t watched the first three seasons yet, this summer is the perfect time to binge-watch it. It’s a fresh, entertaining, and culturally aware series for those who want to feel a bit more educated and in touch.
A Surprise Hit
Emily in Paris Season 4 was never supposed to happen because Emily was never supposed to go to Paris. You see, the main character of the show, Emily, played by Lily Collins, had no intention of going to Paris. She is a successful 20-something marketing executive in a Chicago firm who is happy working locally. She loves her boyfriend, and she’s good at her job. It is her boss, Madeline, who is supposed to head off to Paris to help transition the French branch of the company into a larger corporation. A recent merger has brought the French and the American companies together.
Girl Boss
However, things don’t go as planned and Emily in Paris Season 4 is following three amazing seasons of the young social media maven making her way through a culture she knows nothing about. As it happened, Madeline found herself unexpectedly pregnant and had to send Emily in her stead. Surprised, unsure, but extremely ambitious, Emily takes the news as a wonderful career opportunity and heads off to the glamorous city, assuring her boyfriend that long-distance relationships can work.
What’s In Store For Emily This Season?
From the beginning, Emily is in hot water, and she finds herself perpetually returning. Emily in Paris Season 4 will likely bring us more of the same, but it is a wonderful adventure for viewers. Emily enters this French marketing firm with zero knowledge of the French language or culture, under the impression that she is there to help.
Sadly, the firm does not want her help. The top executive of the office, Sylvie, is the quintessential French woman, elegant and slightly cool. Fortunately, by Emily in Paris Season 4, Sylvie and Emily have come to terms with each other. However, in those early days, Sylvie wanted nothing to do with Emily, and Emily spent all her time trying to prove herself. Her coworkers, Luc and Julian, enjoy her presence and don’t want to get on the wrong side of their boss.
Drama, Relationships, And Drama
The show also includes a love triangle, of course, which has still barely resolved itself by Emily in Paris Season 4. In the first episode, Emily meets a very handsome neighbor, Gabriel, and befriends a lovely French woman, Camille, only to find out the two are dating. Emily also makes friends with a sweet, wild, and funny fellow foreigner, Mindy, played by the always great Ashley Park.
Arriving On Netflix This August
As Emily in Paris stumbles toward Season 4 with grace and humor, viewers cannot help but fall in love with her, her friends, and Paris. Though the characters are flawed, they are all redeemable in the best ways. You feel for their struggles, and you want it to all workout; you’re just not sure how. It is no surprise this show was created and is written by Darren Starr of Sex and the City fame. Emily in Paris has a very similar vibe.
If you have not watched the stunning series yet, binge it on Netflix before Emily in Paris Season 4 releases its first five episodes on August 15 and its second five on September 12. You can’t help but live vicariously through Emily in Paris.
