Cobra Kai Final Season Reveal Makes Fans Want To Kick Netflix In The Face
Besides landing a pretty good recipe on how to produce an adaptation to resemble something close to the original material, Netflix has also developed a knack for making its fans and subscribers livid. The Witcher is a good example of both; the adaptation was reasonably good until the production team started taking some creative liberties, which cost the series its star and its fans. Now, in more recent news, Netflix has decided to split Cobra Kai Season 6 into several parts, which makes the fans want to kick the streaming giant in the face.
But yes, you read that right; Cobra Kai Season 6 will be split not into two but into three parts, which has garnered the communal rage of fans the world over. Now, we’re pretty much used to the idea of having a final season of a series split into two parts, and Netflix most certainly didn’t invent the concept; it was done before by several different series, including The Sopranos and Breaking Bad. However, there aren’t any well-known examples of popular series splitting their final seasons into three parts until now.
There’s a somewhat justified reason for Netflix’s decision. Namely, Cobra Kai Season 6 is going to be a longer season than usual, with 15 episodes in total, compared to the usual 10. That’s why Netflix has decided to split the season into three parts, with five episodes per part.
The series re-examines the Miyagi-verse narrative from Johnny’s point of view, which Cobra Kai Season 6 is bringing to a dramatic conclusion.
The first part is supposed to premier at the streamers on July 18 in a typical Netflix manner—all five episodes released simultaneously—with the two remaining episode blocks releasing on November 28 and sometime in 2025, respectively.

Another reason for the split was the production delay caused by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strike in Hollywood last year, which has prevented writers and, subsequently, actors from working on Cobra Kai Season 6. With the strike now over, the work on the series’ concluding season continues, and the fans can temper their anger by simply shifting their perspective: we’re not getting a three-part season; we’re getting additional three mini-seasons to the series, which are most likely going to round off the series narrative.
