Gen V Season 2 Fate Decided And Fans Are Losing It
Variety has just announced that The Boys spinoff series, Gen V, has officially been renewed for season 2, and fans of the series are excited. As the third installment to The Boys franchise, Gen V is an Amazon Prime Video series that is set concurrently with the fourth season of The Boys.
The world in which the two series take place is one where all people with superpowers are labeled as heroes and a powerful corporation by the name of Vought International markets and monetizes their abilities.
The Boys spinoff Gen V has been approved for a second season on Amazon Prime Video.
Most “heroes” are quite corrupt and self-serving behind the scenes. “The Boys” are a group of heroes who seek to take down Vought International and serve up a little vigilante justice to the corrupt heroes working alongside the corporation.
Gen V, season 1, and season 2 are set at a college for super powered individuals. Godolkin University School of Crimefighting is where special young adults go to hone their powers and be tested.
You can expect to see more of the characters you have grown to love/hate from The Boys and the first season of Gen V in season 2 of the show.
Gen V season 2 was approved and announced in spite of season 1 not yet concluding. The finale of season one is due out on November 3, and the show began airing in September. The hype already building around the first half of the first season was enough for Amazon to greenlight the project for a second.
It seems the crass and off-color nature of the show suits viewers well, and a superhero who shoots blood from their hands is just what the fans want to see. The unapologetic nature of the show has landed it as the number one most-viewed Amazon series in more than 130 countries.
All of the main players from Gen V season 1 are expected to return to their roles in season 2.
You can expect to see more of the characters you have grown to love/hate from The Boys and the first season of Gen V in season 2 of the show. Both worlds will inch closer to collision as the story progresses.
Currently, viewers have already seen The Deep (Chase Crawford) and A-Train (Jessie T. Usher) appear on the spinoff show. Given that the Gen V university is purposed to prepare the best of its young supes for service in “The Seven” (an antagonistic group in The Boys), the two shows will likely cross paths in a big way at some point.
All of the main players from Gen V season 1 are expected to return to their roles in season 2. Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Marco Pigossi are all expected to be featured in the new season.
The newest episode of Gen V season 1 hits Prime Video streaming on Friday, October 20. The first three seasons of The Boys are now streaming in their entirety on Amazon Prime Video, and you can watch the first five (six tomorrow) episodes of Gen V as well.
