According to The Hollywood Reporter, actor, producer, and entrepreneur Mark Wahlberg contemplates what lies ahead for him and his family, hinting at the possibility of stepping away from the big screen to pursue other ventures. Wahlberg recognizes that he’s involved in plenty of upcoming projects and that the current pace at which he’s working, both inside and outside Hollywood, may not be sustainable for much longer.
“Well, I’m certainly working harder now than ever. Certain businesses, you kind of build them, pass them on or you exit. Hopefully my kids, we’ll see what their interests are, but I don’t think that I’ll be acting that much longer at the pace I am now.”

Following his departure from the band, he performed with several other music icons of the ‘80s and early ‘90s before moving to Hamburg, where he produced music under East West Records in 1992.
At the same time, Mark Wahlberg first displayed his physique in a series of underwear ads for Calvin Klein, for the brand’s television advertisements. After that, magazines and television promotions sometimes featured Wahlberg exclusively or accompanied by model Kate Moss. His acting debut took place in 1993 in a television film, The Substitute, and his big screen debut came the next year with Danny DeVito in Renaissance Man.

The late ‘90s and early 2000s were particularly fruitful for Mark Wahlberg, as the majority of his roles received positive reviews. The first mentions of his possible retirement from acting came in a series of interviews via Wayback Machine in 2007, when he stated that he plans on retiring at the age of 40 to concentrate on parenting and professional golf, but later retracted those statements by saying that his golf game is horrible.
