With One Piece Done, TV’s Other Big Quirky Pirate Show is Coming Back
The One Piece live-action adaptation hit Netflix at the end of August and has had everyone in a pirate mood ever since. Unfortunately, there’s only one season of the show (though plenty of anime to watch), but pirate fans will soon have another wacky pirate series to keep the seafaring vibes going. Our Flag Means Death Season 2 is on the way, and Max just dropped the new trailer, which you can check out now.
Our Flag Means Death followed Darby’s gentleman pirate and his crew aboard the ship Revenge as they attempted to make a name for themselves in the Golden Age of Piracy.
Our Flag Means Death is easily one of the best comedy shows going on Max right now, and the pirate setting of the series just makes it that much better. As you can see in the trailer, it seems that the show will be picking up quickly after the events of last season’s finale, where Stede Bonnet (Rhys Darby) is trying to track down Edward Treach, aka Blackbeard (Taika Waititi), after the two failed to communicate their feelings for each other.
This means there is going to be plenty of swashbuckling, along with Waiti’s heartbroken Blackbeard truly embracing his merciless side.
