As the crew is finally reunited, they work to uncover the identity of a mysterious enemy who is actively hunting Picard’s son.

In past series, it is discovered that Jack has quite a colorful background. He didn’t grow up with Picard, and even more, he led quite a different life being labeled a criminal by Star Fleet and the Federation along the way. When Picard finds out that he has a son and that that son is a “criminal” he is truly dismayed.
As the crew is finally reunited, they work to uncover the identity of a mysterious enemy who is actively hunting Picard’s son.
However, the irony really shows itself in season 3 of Star Trek: Picard as the titular hero finds that the road he must travel to save his son leads him to a place where he himself is labeled an enemy of the Federation.
