Michael B. Jordan’s Rainbow Six Movie Isn’t Looking Good
Fans of Michael B. Jordan and Tom Clancy have been anxiously waiting for the Rainbow Six movie ever since it was teased in the end credits of the 2021 film Without Remorse. It has been two years, but the development of the film is not looking good. ComicBook.com shared an update from director Chad Stahelski, who says that “we’re in a bit of a conundrum” as the Hollywood strikes continue to delay production.
Chad Stahelski and Michael B. Jordan have to stomp on the brakes in developing Rainbow Six because of the Actors’ and Writers’ Strikes.
The film Rainbow Six will be based on the Tom Clancy novel of the same name. It will also be based on the first-person shooter video games that were inspired by the book. Fans will most likely recognize the concept from the video games since there have been over a dozen of them released since 1998.
While the plot of Rainbow Six is currently unknown, we do know that Michael B. Jordan will reprise his role as John Clark from Without Remorse. Since the new movie will be based on the novel and video game, it will likely follow John Clark as he leads Rainbow, the secret international counterterrorist organization. The team must fight a terrorist group that wants to wipe out the human race.
In an interview with the Happy, Sad, Confused podcast, Chad Stahelski said that there are currently issues with Rainbow Six, but that he is still looking forward to working on it. In fact, he said that he would “love, love, love to work with Michael B. Jordan on Rainbow.”
Plans to bring Rainbow Six to the big screen began in 2017 when Paramount Pictures announced that they would be making a film adaptation. In 2018, Michael B. Jordan was cast as John Clark, the lead in both Without Remorse and its upcoming sequel Rainbow Six.
Earlier this year, Chad Stahelski, the director of John Wick, came on board as director of the new film, but things quickly came to a stop once the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes began.

It looks like there will be plenty of time before Rainbow Six comes to the big screen, so you can prepare by reading the novel by Tom Clancy and playing the video games from Ubisoft.
As video game adaptations become increasingly more popular thanks to successful TV shows like The Last of Us and Twisted Metal, it will be exciting to see how Chad Stahelski and Michael B. Jordan bring this first-person shooter video game to life.
