Move over Tom Holland; it looks like Disney has another loose-lipped actor attached to one of their flagship IPs! In a recent interview at D23, Ahsoka star Rosario Dawson dropped a few tidbits from an upcoming episode of the Disney+ series, possibly without Lucasfilm’s permission. The Star Wars actress mentioned a really intense fight scene set in a red forest when asked about her favorite scene to film during the Ahsoka shoot.

“There’s this forest where we have this really crazy battle,” Rosario Dawson teased before naming new characters Shin (Ivanna Skhno) and Ahsoka’s former apprentice Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) as the other combatants in the duel. “It’s really quite beautiful. It’s kind of like a burnt-out forest with these red leaves.” Dawson said, describing the setting of the fight.

In 2021, Rosario Dawson went on Instagram to welcome Anakin Skywalker actor Hayden Christensen back to the Star Wars family. Lucasfilm quickly made the actress take down her post, but the damage was already done as fans started debating just what part Ahsoka’s former master might play in the series.

A forest with red leaves matches the description of the planet Seatos, one of the locations featured in the second episode of Ahsoka. Seatos makes an appearance during the scene where Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto), the former Dathomir Nightsister, opens the star map for the first time. Rosario Dawson further hinted that the battle in question would take place during Ahsoka’s fourth episode.

“I think that’s episode four. It’s just really striking and very beautiful. It had that beautiful background,” Dawson said. Her description of the scene matches footage from the Ahsoka trailer that showed, among other things, a fight where Sabine Wren finally pulls out her Mandalorian weaponry set against a backdrop of red leaves.

Also shown in the trailer is an upcoming duel between Ahsoka and Marrok in what looks to be a forest. It’s entirely possible this duel is a part of the same battle Rosario Dawson described in her D23 interview.

While Dawson’s comments don’t seem that bad — given that part of what she described appears in the show’s trailer — it’s not her first time spoiling elements of Ahsoka.

Cut to the present day, where Lucasfilm has apparently embraced the not-so-secret return of Anakin Skywalker by including Hayden Christensen’s likeness in the marketing for Ahsoka. Still, there’s a good chance that Disney planned to keep Christensen’s involvement a secret until his episode—or episodes—aired and only decided to lean into Anakin during promotion for Ahsoka after Dawson forced their hand.

Disney+ has so far aired two episodes of Ahsoka to mostly positive reviews. Goodwill toward the show is also bolstered by great performances from the late Ray Stevenson and newcomer to the Star Wars franchise Mary Elizabeth Winstead as fan favorite Rebels character Hera Syndulla.

New episodes of Ahsoka will hit Disney+ on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. PT / 9:00 p.m. ET. Let’s hope Rosario Dawson doesn’t spoil the whole series before then.
