Marvel Accidentally Reveals New Superhero’s Costume
We have already gotten used to the fact that Marvel and Disney do a very good job of keeping everything MCU-related under tight wraps all up until the moment of release. Sure, we might’ve seen a few things coming, like the three Spider-men, but the accidental and untimely reveal of not one, but two Marvel Phase 5 superheroes, Echo and Goliath, sure comes as a surprise.
The Echo figurine features the superhero’s dark-red and black bodysuit with golden accents on the body, red gloves, a Luca Changretta hairstyle, and a silver prosthetic leg.
According to CBR, a new series of the MCU-themed LEGO minifigures has confirmed a new costume for Echo, the star of the upcoming same-name Marvel television series on Disney+. The Echo figurine features the superhero’s dark-red and black bodysuit with golden accents on the body, red gloves, a Luca Changretta hairstyle, and a silver prosthetic leg.
The figure also appears to be holding some kind of a weapon, though there aren’t any official explanations as to what it is or what it does, and we couldn’t find any official references as to what it might be.
The upcoming Echo series is a spinoff of Marvel’s Hawkeye, revolving around a former Tracksuit Mafia member Maya Lopez, a deaf woman who gains superpowers and becomes a vigilante. On the same note, several rumors suggest that the show will also feature Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, which isn’t out of the realm of possibilities, considering the appearances he made in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk.

As for the Marvel × LEGO collaboration and the Echo reveal, there are several interesting things we’d like to point out. For starters, Maya Lopez is very rarely seen in an extravagant superhero costume, as she usually just wears casual clothing, with occasional hand wraps for “heated discussion” with the bad guys.
However, her new LEGO appearance in a new suit seems to chart a massive departure from her typical look, which might suggest that Marvel is trying to make the character more pronounced, and, thus, more recognizable to the masses.
This plays well into all the other character alterations Marvel made in the last couple of years. They even made the comic book version of Agatha Harkness (depicted as an old lady in the comics) young again to better reflect her aesthetics from WandaVision. And she and Echo aren’t the only ones; there’s a whole slew of second- and third-row superheroes receiving their makeovers before their appearance in the MCU or after.
The Other Lego Figures Revealed
As for the LEGO set that revealed the new Echo costume, we’re discussing minifigure blind bags, which contain a single random figure from a specific series or theme, such as Marvel, DC, or LEGO’s original sets. The new line of Marvel figures includes more than just Echo; there’s Moon Knight, Kate Bishop, Agatha Harkness, She-Hulk, and even Wolverine, Beast, and Storm in their best editions ever—the ones from the 1997’s X-Men: The Animated Series.
Echo is scheduled to launch this November on Disney+, with all six episodes of Season One dropping simultaneously on the streaming platform.
