Don’t make Tatiana Maslany angry. You wouldn’t like her when she’s angry. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the She-Hulk star was picketing in support of the SAG-AFTRA strike recently when she was asked about Disney CEO Bob Iger. “I think he’s completely out of touch!” the actress said, not holding back.

She-Hulk star Tatiana Maslany says Disney CEO Bob Iger is “completely out of touch.”

The 37-year-old Canadian was joined by fellow actors Sandra Berhhard and F. Murray Abraham, as well as Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez last Monday as the group picketed in front of the Netflix offices in New York City.

When the conversation turned to recent comments made by Iger in regard to the SAG-Aftra strike, Tatiana Maslany had a lot to say. The Disney CEO has called the strike “very disturbing” and pleaded with unions to “be realistic,” comments that prompted Maslany to go on the attack against her former boss.

“Having worked on a Disney show, I know where people fall through the cracks and where people are taken advantage of, and it’s outrageous the amount of wealth that is not shared with the people who actually make the show.”

“He’s completely out of touch with the workers who make his shows happen,” the Orphan Black star said about Iger. She explained that the workers are the reason people even watch the Marvel shows on Disney+, saying that the workers were the ones who “bring viewers to him” and make “him money.”

Maslany added that she supports the She-Hulk writers, some of whom have spoken out about their low residuals, as well as the visual effects workers who are currently trying to get their own union up and running.

“Having worked on a Disney show, I know where people fall through the cracks and where people are taken advantage of, and it’s outrageous the amount of wealth that is not shared with the people who actually make the show,” Tatiana Maslany said before taking care to specify that she was referring to not only the cast but also the writers and the behind-the-scenes crew.

Meanwhile, Comedian Sandra Bernhard, one of the actors picketing alongside Tatiana Maslany, was also there to support the writers and other unsung crew members responsible for most of Hollywood’s most beloved content, noted that she still receives residuals from her time on the sitcom Roseanne that are several times the amount that other actors have been earning from more recent shows.

Bernhard called the inequity between the current cost of living and what actors currently make for a salary “soul crushing.”

“I want to be one of those people who highlights that,” said Bernhard before vowing to do everything she can to “change that narrative.”

AOC, despite not being a part of SAG-AFTRA, showed up to the picket line to show her support of unions in general. While there, the representative from New York’s 14th Congressional District joined in on chants such as “New York is a union town,” and took selfies with many of the picketers.

“I’m a union man. Without a union, there is no middle class. Without a middle class, there’s no democracy. Unions are good for America.”

-F. Murray Abraham

“We have workers all across the country either currently on strike or gearing up to be on strike,” said Ocasio-Cortez, labeling the current labor movement “hot labor summer.”

Tatiana Maslany, Sandra Bernhard, and AOC expressed their frustration with the current struggle between the working class and their greedy corporate overlords, no one on the picket line put it quite as perfectly as actor F. Murray Abraham.

“I’m a union man. Without a union, there is no middle class. Without a middle class, there’s no democracy. Unions are good for America,” declared Abraham.
