Fast And Furious Franchise Heading To Netflix
Fans of the Fast and Furious movies might have a binge-watch in their future, as the first five films of the franchise will be hitting Netflix soon. The high-speed racing films that are all about family first hit screens in 2001, and the franchise is still going strong over two decades later. If you want to see where the story of Vin Deisel’s Dom and his crew all began, you’ll only have to wait until August 1, when they hit the streamer (via Collider).
The Fast and the Furious stars Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Rick Yune, Chad Lindberg, Johnny Strong, and Ted Levine. The film followed an LAPD officer who goes undercover into the world of illegal street racing to investigate a group of hijackers.
For those who miss when the franchise was more about street racing and less about the spy antics and heists, the first four Fast and Furious films will be a great Netflix binge for you.

The Fast and Furious franchise pivoted around Fast Five to focus less on the racing aspects of the series, with the spectacle of the films gradually increasing with each entry. While the pivot did change things up, Fast Five is considered one of the best films of the franchise, so it’s worth the watch as well.
Along with the first film and Fast Five, the other films hitting Netflix will be 2 Fast 2 Furious, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, and Fast & Furious.
Fast X
If you missed the latest entry to the Fast and Furious franchise in theaters, you can now rent or buy Fast X through Video On Demand platforms, so you could complete your Netflix binge-watch by watching Fast X. The latest entry to the series introduced Jason Momoa’s Dante, an eccentric villain with ties to Dom’s (Vin Diesel) past.
The blockbuster also starred Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Jason Statham, John Cena, Scott Eastwood, Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, Brie Larson, Alan Richtson, Daniela Melchior, and Rita Moreno.
Fast X is kicking off the end of the long-running Fast and Furious franchise, with the sequel planned as the possible final entry for many of fan’s favorite characters.
While there are almost certainly going to be spin-offs of the main franchise, it seems likely that Dom’s story will be wrapped up in the upcoming sequel. Diesel has played the role for over 20 years now, so it makes sense that he might want to call it a day and drive off into the sunset.
