Over the course of the 19 seasons of Shonda Rhimes’ Grey’s Anatomy, there has been plenty of turnover. Fans have seen doctors, in this case, female doctors, come and go and then return again. The one thing, though, that Rhimes has been able to keep consistent with her female doctor Merry-Go-Round is that they are some of the hottest doctors on television.

10. Christina Yang (Sandra Oh)

What makes Sandra Oh’s Christina Yang so hot is simply her cold demeanor. Plus, the fact that she can be such a cutthroat badass takes her hotness to a whole different level. Grey’s Anatomy lost a lot when Oh chose to leave the series.

9. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo)

Well, she IS the star of the show. We are not completely sure what it is about Ellen Pompeo as Meredith Grey; it could be her smokey voice that brings her to this list. We have been witness to Grey’s growth from a petite innocent doctor to one who is full of confidence.

8. April Kepner (Sarah Drew)

Dr. April Kepner arrived on Grey’s Anatomy at the start of the sixth season, lasting until Season 14, and guest starring in Seasons 17 and 18. Sarah Drew’s April Kepner was a red-haired beauty who eventually married fellow Grey’s Anatomy doctor Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams).

7. Lexie Grey (Chyler Leigh)

Chyler Leigh portrayed Meredith Grey’s younger sister Lexie for six seasons, beginning with season 3. Young, gorgeous, and dorky (so says Rhimes), Lexie was a main character with the hots for Dr. Mark Sloan (Eric Dane). Sadly, the end of Season 8 saw both characters surprisingly killed off in a plane crash.

6. Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw)

Arizona Robbins turned heads the very first time she hit the small screen on Grey’s Anatomy. The good-looking blonde was the head of Pediatrics and did her job well. Arizona was full of confidence (as all doctors should be) but it was her self-assuredness that was so attractive.

5. Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington)

If you like your hotness with a bit of an edge, then Dr. Jo Wilson is your doctor. The smoking-hot Camilla Luddington joined the cast of Grey’s Anatomy with the premiere of season 9 and was brought on to be the love interest of Alex Karev (Justin Chambers).

4. Stephanie Edwards (Jerrika Hinton)

Although Jerrika Hinton’s Dr. Stephanie Edwards lasted a brief five seasons on Grey’s Anatomy, it doesn’t mean her presence wasn’t felt. As the beautiful surgical intern, Edwards eventually worked up to a resident before being written out of the series.

3. Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez)

Dr. Callie Torres was first introduced to the medical staff in Grey’s Anatomy during season 2 and was to be the love interest of George O’Malley (T. R. Knight). While that relationship had its ups and downs, it was her eventual relationship (and marriage) to Arizona Robbins that was a bigger storyline.

2. Addison Montgomery (Kate Walsh)

After all these years, it was nice to see Kate Walsh return to Grey’s Anatomy as Addison Montgomery. Now, we can’t blame the gorgeous actress for her initial departure, she did leave for the spin-off, Private Practice, which enjoyed a solid six-year run.

This one is hard to debate, though we do acknowledge that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and we all have our different tastes. The bottom line here, though, is that Izzie Stevens is the hottest doctor on Grey’s Anatomy.
