See Charlize Theron Walk The Red Carpet In Lace And Leather
Charlize Theron wore a beautiful lace wrap dress to the Rome premiere of Fast X.
Charlize Theron mesmerized crowds with her exquisite sense of style at the Rome premiere of Fast X on May 12. The 47-year-old wore a sheer black wrap dress that revealed a micro top and shorts underneath. She paired the outfit with a chic black beret and elegant stiletto heels. The Long Shot star shared a few snaps from the event on social media, which you can see below.
Fast X debuted in several countries across Europe and South America on May 17 before hitting theaters in the United States and Canada on May 19. While the movie received mixed reviews for its writing, the cast was praised for their performances – with Jason Momoa getting special mention for his portrayal of Dante Reyes. The film has earned $318 million at the global box office to date.
Charlize Theron reprised her role as Cipher in the movie by director Louis Leterrier. The filmmaker previously described the character, a criminal mastermind who is an enemy of Dom’s team, as “the devil.” He also noted that Cipher’s dynamic with Dante is complicated as one is significantly more afraid than the other.
Meanwhile, Charlize Theron’s annual Africa Outreach block party took center stage at the Universal Studios Backlot in California. The event included an auction, special performances by various celebrities, and a Fast and Furious-themed trivia session with the cast of Fast X. Unfortunately, Theron could not attend the event after contracting Covid-19.
But the party continued, with Vin Diesel, Louis Leterrier, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Alan Ritchson, and Sung Kang on site to support a cause close to Charlize Theron’s heart. However, it didn’t take long for questions about the return of Dwayne Johnson’s Luke Hobbs to the franchise to take over.
The former WWE star and franchise icon Vin Diesel have a well-known history of bad blood. Director Louis Leterrier told The Hollywood Reporter that the pair made a great effort to resolve their differences. Johnson and his team were invited to watch the movie before agreeing to appear in the next installment. Once the DC alum confirmed that he loved it, they started working on his return.
Diesel talked about their truce during the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach event, saying that conversations have been going on for a while. “Both of them clearly make people happy,” the Marvel star said of Johnson and Gal Gadot. “Underscore that with this running theme of unity that prevails in the Fast and Furious saga, and it’s a match made in heaven.”
Charlize Theron will next be seen as Andy/Andromache of Scythia in The Old Guard 2. Directed by Victoria Mahoney from a screenplay by Greg Rucka, the story is based on the comic book of the same name. The cast also includes KiKi Layne as Nile Freeman, Marwan Kenzari as Joe/Yusuf Al-Kaysani, and Luca Marinelli as Nicky/Nicolò di Genova.
Matthias Schoenaerts stars as Booker/Sebastian Le Livre along with Van Veronica Ngo as Quynh, and Chiwetel Ejiofor as James Copley. Uma Thurman and Henry Golding also star. The Old Guard 2, starring Charlize Theron, will be released on Netflix in 2023.
