Jamie Foxx Hospitalized After A Major Medical Complication
Jamie Foxx's daughter announced that the actor has been hospitalized for an undisclosed medical complication.
Jamie Foxx is recovering after being hospitalized for a “medical complication.” The news was revealed by the Collateral star’s daughter, Corrine Foxx, in a post on Instagram. “We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday (April 11),” the statement said. “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.”
The note added that the entire Fox family is aware of how beloved Jamie Foxx is and appreciates the prayers from fans. They also ask for privacy at this time. While the nature of the medical complication was not disclosed, rumors suggest it was very serious, prompting several relatives to visit.
One source told the media that the actor is communicating, which is good news.
Jamie Foxx currently hosts the game show Beat Shazam which sees Corinne serving as DJ. According to Deadline, the father/daughter duo also did an Intel commercial together recently. The 55-year-old has also been working on a Netflix movie called Back in Action opposite Cameron Diaz.
The role marks the actress’ return to the screen after an eight-year hiatus.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight in 2022, Jamie Foxx explained how he persuaded Diaz out of retirement. “Cameron is such an incredible force, and she has done so much in this business,” he told the publication. So he told her to “just have some fun!” “I think that’s what brought her to it,” the actor continued. “We’re so happy it’s happening and looking forward to it.
Directed by Seth Gordon from a script he co-wrote with Brendan O’Brien, Back in Action also stars Kyle Chandler and Glenn Close. Will Forte appears as Doug alongside Josh Gad, Harvey Guillén, Rob Riggle, Brett Gelman, Jamie Demetriou, and Sofía Vergarain in undisclosed roles.
