James Bond Experience Will Make You Feel Like 007
Celebrate James Bond's 60th Anniversary with "The Assignment" globe-trotting experience for only $74,000.
If you’ve ever wanted to live like James Bond and have tens of thousands of dollars to burn, there is now a luxury travel experience to make your dreams come true. Luxury travel curator Black Tomato partnered with film company EON Productions to create a 007 experience fitting the super spy himself for wealthy mega-fans. The experience was created to celebrate 60 years of Bond (via The Hollywood Reporter).
The James Bond travel experience can be customized to your liking with ala carte experiences, but the big draw is the bespoke 12-day experience Black Tomato dubbed “The Assignment.” For an eye-popping £60,000 per person, you can journey throughout Europe in a Bond fan fantasy. “The Assignment” takes you through London, Paris, Monaco, Lake Como, and Venice.
The James Bond “The Assignment” travel experience is quite an impressive lineup, which makes sense if you’re paying six figures for two people to go on a two-week vacation. The experience begins where the film franchise began (and where M16 calls home) — London. The first day sees travelers boarding the same Superhawk 34 boat piloted by Cigar Girl in The World Is Not Enough along the River Thames with crewmate Ali James (a key location manager for the franchise).
Another highlight of the London portion of the James Bond travel experience includes a stunt masterclass with Lee Morrison, who worked as a stunt coordinator on No Time to Die and the previous four films. The middle of the trip sees guests whisked off to Paris, where highlights include eating dinner with Carole Ashby in the same restaurant from the movie she starred in, A View to Kill. Guests will also stay at the Chateau de Chantilly, also seen in the film, and tour France’s top horse-training center.
The James Bond travel experience brings fans to Monaco, often featured in Bond films but most famously in Goldeneye. Highlights of Monaco include a private helicopter tour and a trip to Casino de Monte-Carlo, which was seen in Goldeneye. Guests will be joined by Daniel Craig’s Casino Royale‘s Texas Hold’em consultant and on-screen dealer Andreas Daniel.
The penultimate location of the 12-day James Bond travel experience will take fans to Lake Como, where they’ll get to be 007 behind the wheel of an Aston Martin V8 Vantage. A seaplane ride and a private water-skiing lesson on the waters of Lake Como will also await guests later on during their stay. Finally, the trip will end in Venice.
The James Bond travel experience will bring you on a private tour of the Torre dell’Orologio, where Bond battled Chang in Moonraker. The next day will see guests dining on the island of Murano in a working glass factory that you wouldn’t be able to get reservations for otherwise. The trip will end with a private yacht ride of the Venetian lagoon and a highly curated meal.
Is all of that worth the immense amount of money? For some James Bond fans who love travel experiences and have money to burn — maybe. The rest of us will likely have to watch the films to live vicariously through Bond.
