See Miley Cyrus Dramatically Pose In A Black Swimsuit
Miley Cyrus posted an artsy photo of herself in a swimsuit to promote her new tanning line.
Miley Cyrus is one of the few Disney Channel actors who has managed to leave her House of Mouse fame behind her and built an empire out of her personal brand. Cyrus recently blew up the internet with her new break-up anthem, “Flowers,” a smash hit that dominated the music charts as well as social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok. And now, the actress and singer is making headlines again, this time for a dramatic swimsuit pose she posted on Instagram.
Shot from a ground-level angle from underneath a glass patio table, the photo is artsy and striking. Miley Cyrus wears a black halter one-piece swimsuit with the sides cut out and pairs the fit with oversized black sunglasses and black pointed stilettos (which can be seen in the reflection of the table she’s standing over). The singer painted on bright red lipstick that looks stunning against her bleach-blonde hair.
Miley Cyrus’ skin is absolutely glowing in the picture, and for a good reason. The post was made as an advertisement for the singer’s tanning collection collaboration with Dolce Glow called Endless Summer Vacation, named after the singer’s latest album. Apparently, the products work because, despite it being mid-March, Miley looks like she’s already spent an entire summer lying on a California beach.
While Miley Cyrus may have rose to fame by playing the fictional teen pop star Hannah Montana, Cyrus’ career has exploded since leaving Disney in 2011. Endless Summer Vacation is the singer’s eighth studio album, and while it is far from being her first hit, the album has continued to break records and stay at the top of the charts.
According to Billboard, Miley Cyrus has achieved the rare accomplishment of topping the charts in both the U.S. and the U.K. at the same time, with her single, “Flowers” sitting in the number one spot even nine weeks after its debut. This is the second time Cyrus has achieved this accomplishment, the first time being with her album Bangerz where “Wrecking Ball” reached this coveted milestone in 2013.
Cyrus is also the first artist in 2023 to sit at the top spot in both countries at the same time. The last artist to do so was Taylor Swift in October 2022 with “Anti-Hero” from Midnights.
“Flowers” took the internet by storm not only because of its catchy and upbeat tune accompanied by an emotional and relatable nature but because the song seemed to open a window into Miley Cyrus’ almost decade-long romance with actor Liam Hemsworth. Cyrus and Hemsworth met in 2010 on the set of The Last Song, a movie adapted from a Nicholas Sparks book. After that, their torrid on and off again romance was often the subject of headlines and social media posts until the pair finally got married and then divorced in 2019.
Although the Miley Cyrus/Liam Hemsworth romance has been over for three and a half years, “Flowers” gives fans a final glimpse at how Miley has healed from the breakup and learned to love herself better than her ex ever could, an inspiring sentiment that listeners can relate to, which is probably why the song has achieved the top of the charts status that it has.
