Leonardo DiCaprio Is Angry He Has A Reputation For Doing One Really Icky Thing
Leonardo DiCaprio has taken great offense to be labeled as someone who only dates women 25 years old or younger.
There is a rumor going around that when it comes to women, Leonardo DiCaprio has a “type.” He seems to exclusively date women who are gorgeously stunning young supermodels – with emphasis on the young. According to OK! Magazine, 48-year-old Leonardo DiCaprio has never dated a woman over the age of 27 since he got his start in show business, but as true as that might be, he isn’t very happy about the reputation this has gained him.
At the end of January 2023, Leonardo DiCaprio was spotted at a release party for Ebony Riley’s EP where, of course, a photographer was able to catch the actor sitting next to model Eden Polani, who is 19 years old – nearly 30 years his junior. The publication of this photo immediately started up a chorus of “here he goes again…” from gossip lovers everywhere, but according to a source, things are not always what they seem.
“Leo is very single right now,” said the source, who is close to the situation, “and he is not keen on the hype suggesting that he is seeking out these very young women.” The source went on to say that Leonardo DiCaprio is definitely not the player the media is making him out to be, and that he is looking for a “real” relationship similar to what he recently had with Camila Morrone, whom he dated for five years.
Leonardo DiCaprio’s breakup with Camila, however, is just one of the things that have led to his earning this reputation of only being into women who are under 25. According to The Chronicle, there is even a term for this: “Leo’s Law.” The basic gist of this “law” is that the Titanic actor simply refuses to date women over 25, presumably because they are too old for him.
Expired goods, one might say.
Someone (someone with a lot of free time) actually came up with a chart that showed that, even if Leonardo DiCaprio himself is getting older all the time, his girlfriends are all staying the same age. The oldest women he has dated since 1998 have been – you guessed it – 25, and those four (yes, just four) women never got to ring in their 26th birthday with him.
The trend is so obvious and humorous that a Twitter user even went so far as to make a joke that “Titanic turns 25 this year at which point I assume Leonardo DiCaprio will no longer want to be in it.”
But hey, let’s not be a part of the problem here. If Leonardo DiCaprio says he doesn’t just date women under 25, we believe him. In fact, we will report that Leo actually has dated an “older” woman!
In late 2022, he was seen out on the town with model Gigi Hadid, who is a whopping 27 years old. How’s that for Leo’s Law, hmm?
All jokes aside, it does seem as if Leonardo DiCaprio really was looking to get serious with Camila Morrone. They started dating when she was just 20 years old, but they stayed together for five years – which is a long time in Hollywood years.
According to Elle, Leonardo DiCaprio might actually still be dating Gigi Hadid as of early 2023, although the mag defines their relationship as “casual.” Since they run in similar social circles, these two have known each other for a while, and their relationship started as a friendship. Maybe this time Leo will be luckier in love?
He seems to have already broken his 25-year-old age limit rule, so anything is possible!
