Channing Tatum Gets Asked To Perform Striptease At The Doctors
Channing Tatum says his dental hygienist asked him to strip for her, presumably as a joke.
Some people know no boundaries. While visiting the dentist’s office, Magic Mike star, Channing Tatum, was asked by his dental hygienist to remove his clothes. The White House Down actor didn’t know how to respond, so he just laughed off the technician’s joke until she broke the silence—you can watch him recall the story in the tweet below.
Magic Mike’s Last Dance is the last in the dance movie trilogy, in which Channing Tatum plays a male exotic dancer. After a failed business deal, Mike is left abandoned in Florida, working as a bartender, that is, until he meets the wealthy socialite, Maxandra (played by Salma Hayek), who whisks the dancer away to London to headline a dance show. Like the previous two films, the third Magic Mike movie is full of steamy, heart-throbbing scenes, performed by a Tatum waxed so perfectly that all the male-attracted audience members immediately swoon when he steps into the frame.
Some people, however, can’t seem to recognize the difference between a character portrayed on a screen and the actor who exists as a real person off-set. Such was the case for Channing Tatum’s dental assistant, who met the actor when he came in to get his teeth cleaned. The 42-year-old actor described how when the technician led him to the dentist’s chair, she offered to take his coat—and then requested that he took off the rest of his clothes as well.
At first, Channing Tatum said that he was confused. He was at a doctor’s office, after all. Was he supposed to get into a patient’s gown? But wait, they don’t do that at the dentist. Without knowing how to respond, Tatum stood there awkwardly laughing until the technician broke the silence.
Channing Tatum said that the dental assistant laughed at her own joke and then proceeded to tell the actor that he could really take it off if he wanted to before leaving Tatum alone in the room. As Tatum sat in the chair waiting for her to return, he couldn’t help but think about how the enthusiastic dental assistant would soon be sticking her fingers in his mouth.
Salma Hayek, Channing Tatum’s co-star, has also experienced some awkward encounters with fans, though maybe not quite as awkward as her dental assistant asking her to get naked in the middle of the office. The Frida actress said that the most uncomfortable place that she’s met fans is in the restroom, just before she’s gone into the stall to do her business. She says that often times fans will wait, listening for her to finish and come out so that they can grab a photo with her.
Magic Mike’s Last Dance was directed by Steven Soderbergh, written by Reid Carolin, and stars
Caitlin Gerard, Kevin Nash, Adam Rodriguez, and Alan Cox next to Channing Tatum and Salma Hayek. The film was produced by Nick Wechsler Productions and Free Association and was distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. The film is currently in theaters and will soon stream to HBO Max.
