The actress is no stranger to the limelight. She got her start in the industry at just 15 years old playing Laurie Lewis in the ABC soap opera All My Children. Her career quickly took off in 2010 when she landed the role of Annabeth Chase in Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief.
In 2012, she starred in the Imagine Dragons music video for “Radioactive.” The video went on to get over 1 billion views, expanding Alexandra Daddario’s audience across the globe.
She appeared as a guest on the hit FX series It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia where she played Ruby Taft. Later in 2013, she secured her first starring role as Heather Miller in the slasher flick Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D.
Despite her emerging popularity, it wasn’t until 2015 that the star’s career truly began to take off when playing the part of Lisa Tragnetti on HBO’s True Detective. Lisa served as a love interest and had an extramarital affair with the character Martin Hart (Woody Harrelson).
Perhaps still best known for her role as Annabeth Chase and Lisa Tragnetti, the star has taken on many more hit roles over the years. Between 2016 and 2018, Alexandra Daddario took starring roles in When We First Met, Night Hunter, and the film adaptation of Baywatch. She also starred in Maroon 5’s music video for “Wait.”
By 2019 the star took a larger interest in her films when she began producing. Both her films Can You Keep a Secret? and We Summon the Darkness were starred in and produced by Alexandra Daddario. The actress has been keeping busy recently, playing a role in the first film shot in Los Angeles during the Covid-19 pandemic, Songbird.
In 2021, her role in White Lotus brought her critical acclaim. Many believed that her performance redefined how audiences and directors saw her. Later in 2022, the actress’s success was recognized when she was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.
Alexandra Daddario fans can now see her in her latest project. She plays Dr. Rowan Fielding in the AMC series Mayfair Witches, which premiered in January. The series is part of AMC’s new Immortal Universe, which includes series based on Anne Rice’s books, including Interview with a Vampire.
