See Ryan Potter As Invincible’s Mark Grayson
Ryan Potter from DC's Titans becomes Invincible's Mark Grayson in new fan art.
The superhero fan community is the best and always more than happy to lend an imaginative hand in creating the next live-action version of their favorite comic book character. The latest bit of daydream artwork, which you can see below, brings Titans star Ryan Potter into the role of Invincible aka Mark Grayson. Created by Twitter account @21xfour, the artist showed off his image of what it would look like for the Super Ninjas star to step into the part of the teenage superhero.
Drawn from the neck up, the artist has done an excellent job of helping us see what Ryan Potter would look like as Invincible. Dressed in the character’s iconic blue and yellow suit, what would a Mark Grayson imagining be without his lenses and signature smirk? On point down to the very last detail, the artist’s rendering even includes Mark Grayson’s perfectly coiffed black hair popping out of the top of his headpiece.
While for now it’s all just hope for many Ryan Potter fans for the beloved actor to appear as Invincible in a live-action spinoff of the comic-turned-animated series, there is certainly a possibility of that wish turning into reality sometime in the future. With the hero’s original on-page creator Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead) breathing life back into rumors surrounding an adaptation, things could still be heating up for the Image Comics superhero. Kirkman has said that when the project moves forward, he’ll be attached to produce, but as of right now no potential director or leading cast members have been announced.
As of this moment, while there may not be a Ryan Potter-led Invincible production on the way, Prime Video is the home for Invincible, the animated telling of Mark Grayson, your run-of-the-mill teenage boy who just happens to be the son of the planet’s most well-known and powerful superhero, Omni-Man. As he grows towards adulthood, Mark’s powers start to fully develop, which makes being a teen even messier than it already was. Meanwhile, the young man begins to learn more about what his father’s goals for their home planet truly are, plans that he disagrees with and that pit the duo against each other.
Prime Video’s series features the vocal stylings of The Walking Dead’s Steven Yeun as Mark Grayson and J.K. Simmons (Juno) as Omni-Man. A juggernaut franchise in its own right, Image Comics has stacked up against competitors in recent years bringing fans popular on-screen productions including The Walking Dead and all the spin-offs to come along with it, The Crow, Wynonna Earp, Mystery Men, Spawn, and the upcoming Astro City. And, while Ryan Potter hasn’t appeared in any of Image’s television or film reimagining just yet, we couldn’t think of a better actor to play the role in an upcoming Invincible live-action feature.
As for Ryan Potter, the actor has starred in a slew of both animated and live-action productions over the course of his decade in Hollywood. Included in those titles is a leading vocal credit for his part in the Academy Award-winning animated Disney film, Big Hero 6, and, of course, his more recent take on Garfield Logan aka Beast Boy on Titans.
