See Anya Taylor-Joy Show Off A Completely Translucent Dress
Anya Taylor-Joy rocked the critics Choice Awards red carpet in a sheer Dior gown.
Anya Taylor-Joy is a rising star in Hollywood, a fashion icon, a scream queen, and in a collection of photos shared by a fan account on Instagram, someone that knows how to party. In attendance at the Critics Choice Awards, Taylor-Joy stunned everyone with her completely sheer dress. Never afraid to make a statement with her bold fashion choices, the British actress decided to steal the show.
The sheer dress is a Dior Haute Cotoure accented by an eye-popping 25 carats worth of diamond jewelry. Finishing the ensemble, assembled by stylist Ryan Hastings, is a pair of Jimmy Choo heels. Anya Taylor-Joy, as evidence by the dress and Dior make up, is a global ambassador for the brand, which she clearly intends to make look simply phenomenal throughout awards season.
At the Golden Globes, Anya Taylor-Joy was also wearing Dior, though that time it was a long yellow dress paired with a slender yellow top. The New Mutants star has blown away fans and other stars alike with her looks this season, leaving everyone to wonder what she has up her sleeve for the Academy Awards?
The last two images in the carousel show Anya Taylor-Joy with her new husband, Malcolm McRae, an actor and musician. Quietly married back in July of 2022, the two had been together for two years before tying the knot. In one of those adorable coincidences that makes people not in the couple start to gag, the two of them share the same birthday, April 17th.
While The Queen’s Gambit star was not nominated for anything at the Critics Choice Awards, Anya Taylor-Joy was clearly, going by the photos, excited to be on hand cheering on her friends. Ralph Fiennes, her co-star in The Menu, was also nominated at the Golden Globes for Best Actor, losing out to Colin Farrell. Taylor-Joy was not nominated for her other role this year, in Amsterdam, despite again being a delight on screen in the role of a 1930’s debutante.
Leaving behind the horror roles that filled the early part of her career, such as in the underrated Morgan opposite Kate Mara, Anya Taylor-Joy will next appear on screen in the action-packed Furiosa. A prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road focused on Charlize Theron’s fan favorite character, the film also stars native Australians Chris Hemsworth and Nathan Jones. Before that film releases in May of 2024, the Northman star will have her biggest film release to date: Super Mario Brothers.
Super Mario Brothers is the upcoming computer animated adaptation of the biggest video game franchise in the world, starring Chris Pratt as Mario Mario, Charlie day as Luigi Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, and Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong. The film will only be the Last Night in Soho star’s second voice role, but fans are already going crazy over the actress, considering her to be a perfect choice for Princess Peach.
Super Mario Brothers releases on April 7th.
