Alexandra Daddario is one of the most beautiful and acclaimed actresses of her generation, and we are always glad to see her around here. Given that the White Lotus actress has an enormously popular Instagram account, it is no surprise that she also has plenty of fan accounts out there spreading the word of Alexandra Daddario. Perfect for the middle of winter, one of them posted a photo set of the actress in a small green and white patterned bikini, sunning herself on a dock somewhere warm.
The photos above could be scenes from the first season of The White Lotus, the mega-popular HBO comedy-drama series in which Alexandra Daddario starred as part of a huge ensemble cast. The first season of the show took place at the Maui branch of the titular luxury resort, and followed several groups of tourists and hotel staff, as they all barely manage to conceal their personal issues from each other.
Alexandra Daddario starred in the show as Rachel Patton, a freelance journalist at the precipice of a quarter-life crisis while on her honeymoon with Shane (Jake Lacy), an entitled real estate agent. Much of the plot of the first season of the show concerned both their crumbling relationship and opposing views of the world, plus Jake Lacy’s character getting into an escalating series of passive-aggressive interactions with the hotel manager Armond (Murray Bartlett).
Alexandra Daddario was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for The White Lotus, along with her co-stars Sydney Sweeney, Natasha Rothwell, Jennifer Coolidge, and Connie Britton. Ultimately, Coolidge took home the trophy, but it is very indicative of the giant leap up that Daddario is currently experiencing.
The second season of The White Lotus transported the action to another branch of the resort chain, this time in Sicily. Jennifer Coolidge was the only member of the first season to reprise her role, but given that the show was renewed for a third season by HBO, it is always possible that we could see Alexandra Daddario show up again in the future.
On the other hand, Alexandra Daddario is likely to be pretty busy in the near future. She is leading the cast of AMC’s upcoming series Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches, based on a book series by the late supernatural romance author. In the show, Daddario is portraying a brilliant and beautiful neurosurgeon named Rowan who discovers her connections to a wealthy family of magic users in New Orleans.
Mayfair Witches is part of AMC’s ambitious plan to build a franchise around the works of Anne Rice, titled the Immortal Universe. The first show in the franchise, a new adaptation of Interview with the Vampire, has already been renewed for a second season, and a total of 14 Anne Rice books have been licensed to the production company so far. If all goes well, Alexandra Daddario will likely be one of the most important figures in a whole new shared universe.
