See Lily Collins In A Fur Coat Without Pants On
According to her Instagram, Lily Collins is “Keeping it cool while staying warm” in a fur coat and sheer black tights for the cover of “The Resolutions Issue” of Vogue Greece. This look by Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello might be a bit chilly for going outdoors in the winter snow, but the actress looks amazing indoors with her hair styled by Gregory Russell and her makeup and nails done by Fiona Stiles and Thuy Nguyen, respectively.
Known for playing all-American girl Emily Cooper on Netflix’s Emily in Paris, Lily Collins is no stranger to high fashion. Her outfits on the show often include twists on French styles, like brightly colored berets and bold trench coats.
In real life, the actress tends to wear more classically tailored outfits with colors that are a bit less over-the-top. According to Vogue, Lily Collins recently wore a Fendi wool overcoat in a sandy shade with a matching structured strapless dress overtop a black turtleneck for an appearance on Good Morning America, an outfit that had heads turning and French fashionistas nodding in approval.
On Emily in Paris, Lily Collins is also always wearing high heels, something that she has mentioned has been tough on her feet. Paris is filled with cobblestone streets, which aren’t exactly the easiest to walk on. In an interview on the Who What Wear podcast, she mentioned her secret to keeping herself on her toes: insoles.
“I always used to think that when I was younger, [insoles] sounded like something old people wore,” Lily Collins said. But now she is on Team Insoles because they have saved her poor feet’s lives. When asked what brand she uses, she said that she gets hers from a doctor in France who custom-makes them for her. So, sadly, other fashionistas can’t follow in her footsteps so easily!
Lily Collins, the daughter of singer Phil Collins and his second wife, Jill Tavelman, was born in England but grew up in Los Angeles. She started acting when she was a child, starting with a British series called Growing Pains (not to be confused with the American series of the same name starring Alan Thicke and Kirk Cameron).
When she was a teenager, Lily Collins started modeling as well, and even writing for magazines such as Teen Vogue. After acting in the television series 90210, she got into films with the Sandra Bullock-led sports drama The Blind Side in 2009, and her career has taken off from there.
