Once again, Florence Pugh is turning heads with her go-to choice to wear sheer fashion at award shows. At the 13th Governor’s Awards in Los Angeles last night, the Don’t Worry Darling star, age 26, opted to wear a super sheer mesh floor-length gown. As always, Pugh stunned audiences with her bold and beautiful look.

The transparent sleeveless dress is from the upcoming Victoria Beckham Spring 2023 Collection. It features white mesh layering with gold and white polka dots and a white panel that drapes across her hips and ends in a long train, with golden fringe for added sparkle.

Florence Pugh has created a reputation for wearing daring fashion and looking stunning while doing it. She completed her Governor’s Award show look with golden accessories, including a golden nose ring, a golden collar necklace, and golden studs in her ears. The transparency of her dress enabled her to show off her white platform pumps, which would have otherwise been hidden if the dress wasn’t see-through.

Alex Babsky designed Pugh’s makeup look, and the actress wore short hair by Peter Lux.

While Florence Pugh is currently on her way to becoming a fashion icon, her image has not been without criticism. The Midsommer actress recently spoke out about body shaming she faced after joining the film industry. Apparently, Pugh almost quit acting after facing extreme criticism for her looks and weight in an early film role.

The negative comments from producers about her body discouraged Florence Pugh and almost put the end to her dreams of becoming an actress. Fortunately for her career and her fans, her experience filming Lady Macbeth restored her hope in the industry, and she has since won numerous awards and nominations for her skill and clearly also developed an attitude of indifference when it comes to people talking about what she looks like.

Indeed, if Florence Pugh had let the advice of producers early in her career influence her actions, the actress most likely wouldn’t be the rising starlet she is today. After the success of Lady Macbeth, Pugh became a well-sought-after star and appeared in a number of period pieces, including King Lear, Outlaw King, and Little Women. This year, she starred in Netflix’s psychological thriller, The Wonder, and Olivia Wilde’s thriller, Don’t Worry Darling

Florence Pugh has also pushed her way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Yelena Belova, Natasha Romanoff’s little sister. Yelena is a character that was introduced in 2021’s Black Widow and has become hugely popular with the Marvel fanbase. In fact, Pugh is getting paid eight figures to revive the role in two upcoming MCU films, including 2024’s Thunderbolts and possibly her own titular film.

Keeping busy, the rising star also has several upcoming features releasing next year. She will play Princess Irulan Corrino in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two and Allison in Zach Braff’s A Good Person. A Good Person will be released on March 24, 2023, and Dune: Part Two will be released on November 3, 2023.
