More controversy surrounds Olivia Wilde and her divorce from her husband and father of her children, Jason Sudeikis, and now even their former nanny is getting in on the drama. While the actress and director is coming off the press tour and the success of her most recent directorial venture, Don’t Worry Darling, the media surrounding the film has been anything but kind as it pointed to controversy with her co-stars, questions about her directing, an affair with a member of a boy band, and even a salad dressing. Now, according to People Magazine, Olivia Wilde is responding to allegations that her special salad dressing is responsible for her divorce from her husband by sharing the recipe for it.

In an interview with The Daily Mail, the couple’s former nanny, who remained unidentified, revealed that the relationship wasn’t over (as Wilde initially claimed) when she started seeing Harry Styles on the set of Don’t Worry Darling. As a matter of fact, the nanny reported that Sudeikis was so caught off guard by the development that when he saw her making her “special salad dressing” to take to Harry’s, he had a meltdown and resorted to lying under her car to keep her from leaving.

In response to the allegations, Olivia Wilde shared the recipe for the salad dressing. In a joint statement, the two actors claimed the allegations were false and that the nanny had been harassing them and their family for months.

Olivia Wilde’s salad dressing is not exactly a handed-down family secret. It is actually pulled from a 1983 novel called Heartburn, a Roman de clef by Nora Ephron that was based on her divorce from the legendary Washington Post reporter Carl Bernstein. It details the process of mixing two tablespoons of Grey Poupon mustard with two tablespoons of good red wine vinegar and six tablespoons of olive oil.

Apparently, according to the nanny, the salad dressing is so good and so special that it was enough to cause the star of Ted Lasso to make himself a speed bump for his wife. The Daily Mail also reported that the nanny recalled Olivia Wilde telling her soon-to-be ex-husband that she was afraid of him, to which he responded with the question of why she was leaving their kids with him.

This isn’t the first bit of controversy surrounding Olivia Wilde and her newest movie. Along with the alleged affair with Harry Styles was a dispute over the circumstances surrounding Shia LaBoeuf’s exit from the film. Following the accusation that he sexually assaulted a former girlfriend, Olivia Wilde claimed she fired him to keep her set safe and the other actors, specifically Florence Pugh, more comfortable. Later, LaBoeuf provided a video of her begging him to return to the film, refuting the firing and saying he quit.

Since the movie’s release, many other revelations about the troubled set have surfaced, including Florence Pugh having screaming matches with Olivia Wilde and having to step in on directorial duties. One thing is certain: compared to the rest of the drama surrounding Olivia Wilde’s life lately, a salad dressing recipe seems insignificant.
