See Olivia Wilde Bare Her Breast In Support Of Florence Pugh
Olivia Wilde bared one of her breasts in support of Florence Pugh and the Free The Nipple movement.
No matter how much they deny that tensions were running high on the set of Don’t Worry Darling, the media just keeps coming for Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh. But following Pugh’s recent stance on the Save the Nipple movement, in which the Black Widow star shared a revealing photo of herself to make a statement, Wilde is following suit, sharing her own bare-chested photo on the cover of Elle. Posting the image, which you can see above, to her Instagram account, the actress-turned-director stands proudly in a bejeweled black dress with one shoulder uncovered, exposing her breast and nipple, the latter of which is covered by a heart-shaped pasty.
The Free the Nipple campaign began long before Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh’s statements, all the way back in 2012 when filmmaker Lina Esco began to speak out about how women should have the same rights as men when it comes to going topless. Esco crafted a film around the idea and soon stars including Miley Cyrus, Chelsea Handler, and Chrissy Teigen joined suit, sharing their own photos to social media in support of the director’s movement. The film was eventually picked up by IFC and landed in theaters back in 2014, with the idea behind it still running strong today.
As for Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh’s possible personal drama, rumors kicked off that not all was as it seemed on the highly praised set of Wilde’s film Don’t Worry Darling. The main chatter was that Pugh was paid much less than her co-star Harry Styles, with whom Wilde struck up a romantic relationship during the film’s production. While both women have since made comments indicating that their relationship was nothing but cordial, the tabloids ran with the fact that Pugh was missing for much of the press junket and instead was spending her time preparing and filming Dune: Part Two, which currently has cameras rolling.
Outside of any possible strain between Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh, there was one person definitely causing some trouble on the set of Don’t Worry Darling – Shia LaBeouf. The actor was initially cast in the leading male role but would soon be replaced due to alleged conflicts he was having with Wilde, and other members of the cast and crew. While Wilde says she booted him from the film, the Honey Boy star says that he quit, leading to a slew of media attention on the feature for all the wrong reasons.
And then, of course, there was the spitting incident. As if Olivia Wilde couldn’t catch a break between the claims of drama with her and her stars – Florence Pugh and Shia LaBeouf – her two leading men Harry Styles and Chris Pine seemed to be at the center of a new Don’t Worry Darling conspiracy just last month. At the film’s premiere back in September, it appeared that while Styles was taking his seat, he rocketed some saliva at his co-star, causing even more chatter in the papers.
But, as they say, no press is bad press, with Olivia Wilde’s Don’t Worry Darling proving itself to be a hit at the box office. The film landed in theaters in late September and has so far made $70.8 million against its $35 million budget. And with their latest stand to Free the Nipple together, it appears that there are truly no hard feelings between Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh.
