Wherever Gal Gadot goes, she seems to have a ton of fun as evidenced by her recent Instagram post. Gadot posed in a black one-piece swimsuit while sticking her tongue out and making various other faces to the camera. When Gadot isn’t making blockbuster films, she definitely knows how to keep fans entertained and bring the heat to her social media.
We really only got to see Gal Gadot in one movie this year, Death on the Nile. Death on the Nile featured the Agatha Christie character Hercule Poirot (Kenneth Branagh) investigating the death of a young heiress on a Nile vacation. With only film during all of 2022, it’s good that Gadot is keeping us updated through her Instagram presence.
Fortunately, Gal Gadot has a ton of projects on the way, so we’ll have a lot of her performances to look forward to. For 2023, Gadot has two films that are expected to release — Heart of Stone and Irena Sendler. Heart of Stone is keeping its plot close to the vest, but it’s been billed as a spy thriller.
Irena Sendler is about the Polish nurse and social worker who helped the Polish Underground Resistance in Warsaw during World War II. In addition to starring Gal Gadot in the titular role, Irena Sendler will be co-produced by Gadot’s production company Pilot Wave and Warner Bros. Both Heart of Stone and Irena Sendler do not have set release dates yet.
Gal Gadot and her husband’s Pilot Wave production company will also be co-producing the Apple TV+ series based on the biography of late actress Hedy Lamarr. Gadot will also be starring in this series. At this time, the untitled show doesn’t have a release window.
Finally, Pilot Wave will also be co-producing Gal Gadot’s big return to the DC film universe in Wonder Woman 3. Wonder Woman 3 will also see writer and director Patty Jenkins returning to tell the next chapter of Wonder Woman’s story. The details of the plot are being kept under wraps, but Gadot has said she wants the film to take place in the present.
The last two Wonder Woman films were set in the past, and we’ve really only got to see Wonder Woman in modern times when she appeared alongside Batman, Superman, and other members of the Justice League. While Wonder Woman was well-received and considered one of the better early DCEU films, Wonder Woman 1984 was generally thought to be a much weaker film. Bringing Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince to the present and making a film set in modern times could be the shot in the arm the franchise needs to make up for the last film.
While we may have to wait a little while to see Gal Gadot return as one of DC’s strongest heroes, we’ll get to see her in a much more villainous role with Disney’s live-action remake of Snow White in 2024. In the Marc Webb-directed Snow White, Gal Gadot will be playing the infamous Evil Queen opposite Rachel Zegler’s Snow White. While we wait for all of these projects to come out, we’ll just have to stick to Instagram to see what Gadot is up to next.
