We could all use some chill, meditative vibes on a Sunday, and Brie Larson is bringing them. The actor took to Instagram to provide fans with an ethereal pic of her standing atop a ledge, enjoying the flowing breeze in front of a beautiful landscape on her birthday. Judging by the second picture, the breeze may have been a little too strong as Larson had to bring her hands down to keep her botanical dress from flying away.

Brie Larson certainly deserves all the rest and relaxation she can get, as she’s probably going to be doing a lot of press for her upcoming movies in 2023. She’ll be starring in not one, but two blockbusters that are part of some of the biggest movie franchises of all time. Chill vibes will definitely be a necessity before taking on a press tour like that.

The first major blockbuster we should see from Brie Larson is Fast X in May of 2023. Fast X is set to be the first of a two-part movie that will wrap up the long-running Fast & Furious franchise. It’s also set to be the fifth-most-expensive film ever made, with an estimated $300 million production budget.

There are certainly big expectations around Fast X, especially since Justin Lin left the director’s chair over creative differences. While Lin is staying on as a writer and producer, Louis Leterrier will serve as his replacement. Along with Brie Larson, the film will feature other newcomers to the franchise including Daniela Melchior, Alan Ritchson, Rita Moreno, and Jason Momoa, who is playing the antagonist.

Brie Larson Captain Marvel 2 feature

In July, we’ll get to see Brie Larson once again donning her superhero garb when she returns to the MCU as Captain Marvel in The Marvels. The Marvels is keeping the plot close to the vest, but we do know that Samuel L. Jackson will be returning as Nick Fury. We also know that Teyonah Parris will be reprising her role as an older Monica Rambeau, after first appearing in WandaVision.

Iman Vellani will also be reprising her role as Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel in The Marvels. We first met Kamala Khan in her solo Disney+ series Ms. Marvel and, true to her comic book origins, Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel is her hero. It’ll be interesting to see all of these characters on-screen together and how their dynamic plays out.

Nia DaCosta directs The Marvels, with Zawe Ashton on board as the villain and Park Seo-joon cast in an undisclosed role. The Marvels will be part of the MCU’s Phase 5 and will likely play an important role in shaping the future of the MCU. Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel is undoubtedly one of the strongest remaining Avengers, so it would be surprising if we don’t see her pop up in the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars and Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.

2023 seems like a long time to wait for Brie Larson’s blockbusters to drop. Fortunately, Larson keeps fans plenty up to date on her Instagram. Until she starts her press tour for Fast X and The Marvels, that should help to keep us entertained.
