Since Ms. Marvel hit Disney+ back in early June, fans have been abuzz about the newest and youngest addition to the team, Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel. And to say that Ms. Marvel herself aka Iman Vellani is the biggest fan of the Marvel-based series would be an understatement. A diehard follower of the comic books and on-screen productions that Marvel has produced over the last several years, no one else comes close to Vellani’s knowledge of the superhero characters.

Not only does she most likely know more about the various character’s backgrounds than her peers and fellow actors, but Iman Vellani marvels at the fact that being on the inside of the Kevin Feige universe allows her a first look and fuller grasp of what’s to come. In a sit-down during Late Night with Seth Meyers, which you can see below, the young actress admitted to having several online burner accounts that allow her to post anonymously and engage with fellow Marvel fans. She revealed that her favorite account to use was Reddit where she engages in the discourse surrounding fan theories about what will happen next. When others put forward their false speculations on what’s to come for Ms. Marvel and the other characters in her series, Vellani rushes to the keyboard to tell them just how wrong they are. If only they knew they were getting some real insider information!

In the series, Iman Vellani stars as the titular character, Ms. Marvel. Art imitates life as Kamala Khan is just as huge of an Avengers fan as Vellani is. In particular, Kamala idolizes and fangirls over Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel (Brie Larson). When Kamala mysteriously gains a set of her very own superpowers, the teenager finds herself having a much more challenging time adapting than what she imagined. On top of her new powers, she still needs to deal with family, friends, and the never-ending pains of high school.

Along with Iman Vellani, Ms. Marvel also stars Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Saagar Shaikh, Laurel Marsden, Azhar Usman, Rish Shah, Arian Moayed, Alysia Reiner, Laith Nakli, Nimra Bucha, Travina Springer, Adaku Ononogbo, Samina Ahmad, Fawad Khan, Mehwish Hayat, Farhan Akhtar, and Aramis Knight. The series was created by Bisha K. Ali, a writer, and comedian who also led the writer’s room for the series. Adding more creatives with lengthy backgrounds in the film industry, the production hired Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, known as the team Adil & Bilall, as the leading directors. If you’re a fan of the Bad Boys franchise, you’ll recognize the duo’s names from helming Bad Boys for Life

As for the adventures of Kamala Khan, we can next expect to see her in the 2023 film, The Marvels, where she’ll cross paths with her personal hero, Captain Marvel. While we don’t have much information surrounding the production, there is a chance that if you head to Reddit and post a fan theory, Iman Vellani may show up to corroborate or shoot your Marvel dreams out of the water.
