See Bryan Cranston Injured By A Softball At Celebrity Game
Bryan Cranston joined a multitude of celebrities as part of a softball game in Los Angeles on July 16th, but the man took a brutal hit from a softball during practice.

Dodger Stadium played host to the Major League Baseball All-Star Celebrity Softball game on July 16, ahead of the MLB All-Star game on Tuesday 19 July. Two high-profile celebs taking part in the Softball clash in LA were Anthony Ramos and Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston. Unfortunately for Cranston, Ramos struck him in the shoulder during practice for the game, CBR.com reports.
In an attempt to get in the swing of things, In The Heights star, Anthony Ramos was in the batting cage practicing ahead of the All-Star softball game when one sweetly struck shot sent a softball careening into Bryan Cranston. Cranston took the full force of Ramos’ hit to the shoulder and had to take several moments doubled over in pain, before composing himself. Bryan Cranston was quoted as saying: “It’s definitely going to bruise. “I might be more of a cheerleader in this game.” Cheerleader, Cranston most certainly was not as the Breaking Bad star went full Walter White at Dodger stadium in a feisty softball display. According to the New York Post, Cranston got into a fiery confrontation with the game’s umpire, disputing a strikeout call. Cranston kicked up dirt and screamed at the umpire’ “you’re stealing the game from us,” and despite an intervening JK Simmons, Cranston was ejected from the game. Cranston’s team LA ultimately succumbed to their celebrity counterparts team Brooklyn in a 15-13 score.
Bryan Cranston and Anthony Ramos were joined by an impressive cast of celebs in the MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball game. The enviable roster of celebrity athletes included the likes of Bad Bunny, who received one of the game’s biggest ovations, and Quavo, who is a regular competitor in the NBA Celebrity All-Star game. Other stars in the game included Shang-Chi star Simu Liu and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who is well-known for his role as Dr. Manhattan in Showtime’s limited series Watchmen.
Softball injuries and umpire confrontations aside, Bryan Cranston is still at the height of his acting powers, with numerous exciting projects in the works. Cranston is set to reprise his iconic role of Walter White in the final season of Better Call Saul and as well as being part of the all-star cast in Wes Anderson’s upcoming Asteroid City (which includes the likes of Tom Hanks and Margot Robbie), Cranston will be sharing the screen with Henry Cavill in the Matthew Vaughn (Kingsman: The Secret Service) spy thriller Argylle.
As well as having exciting projects on the way in the future, one of Bryan Cranston’s recent projects has gone down a storm on streaming. Just weeks ago, the Bryan Cranston and Annette Bening starring Jerry and Marge Go Large went straight in at number one on streaming service Paramount+. The film, based on a true story, focuses on Cranston and Bening’s married couple Jerry and Marge Selbee, who spend their newfound fortune revitalizing their local Evart, Michigan neighborhood after Jerry uses his mathematical prowess to exploit the lottery system. The strong streaming performance of Jerry and Marge Go Large and the plethora of exciting projects that Bryan Cranston has on the way show that although Softball may not be his strong suit, the veteran Hollywood actor is still at the top of his game.
