We are just around the corner from the Better Call Saul final season. Fans have been patiently waiting for this moment to happen, or rather, dreading the fact that we are no longer going to see Jimmy McGill aka Saul Goodman aka Gene Takovic. Now, AMC has released a final look at the upcoming season via a new trailer. This trailer brings in some of the most important places in the Breaking Bad universe, with the apt title, “Places.” You can see the trailer below:
What stands out most of all in the above trailer is that we are given plenty of black and white scenes. This could mean there will be more instances of Gene Takovic in the Better Call Saul final season. Gene appearing in more episodes had been hinted, especially with the announcement that Jeff the cab driver has been recast. We all know what happens to Saul after he ends up getting into business with Heisenberg aka Walter White. He calls the number of the specialist that helps him to essentially disappear. However, there is little known about what happens to Saul aka Gene after that, apart from him being recognized by Jeff, and his time as a manager of Cinnabon. Now we might finally see what happens to Saul, much like we did with Jesse Pinkman in El Camino.
Better Call Saul is entering its final season, which will be airing on Monday, July 11th. The accumulation of this show is meant to wrap up the events that took place at the end of Breaking Bad. However, fans were quick to point out the black and white title sequence becoming longer and longer as each season went on, meaning there will likely be more scenes of Gene, the alter ego that Saul took on when he “disappeared.” We are not entirely sure what is going to happen, but we do know Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston will be returning as Jesse and Walter. There are sure to be more surprises along the way.
Our initial theory for the Better Call Saul final season is that Jeff is going to play a pivotal part in upending the new life that Saul has taken on. Jeff notices Saul, which then might be said to the wrong person. For all we know, Saul might be wanted by plenty of people, which would make sense considering that he was a criminal lawyer of the highest degree. Saul did leave town Walter’s business was taken over and Jesse was forced into slave labor for the blue meth. Again, we know what comes of Jesse via the El Camino movie, but nothing much is known about where Saul goes, apart from Cinnabon.
The Better Call Saul final season begins on Monday, and fans will finally get to see the conclusion of Saul’s life. We hope that he can somehow make it out alive, though it would also make sense for him to be killed because of his actions in the criminal game. The final season is set to air on AMC and be available to stream on AMC+. We can’t wait to see what happens.
