Brie Larson

Say what you will about Brie Larson, but at least she’s consistent. While other celebrities are using social media to bombard us with political takes and sponsored posts selling crypto and expensive beauty products, Brie Larson is the antidote to all the vitriol and meanness that permeates the internet these days. Larson’s no fool: she knows exactly what she’s doing. Check out her latest Instagram post to her seven million fans, taken on a recent excursion to Palm Springs.

In the post, Brie Larson remarked “Sometimes all you need is a sprinkler, a charcuterie board, a polaroid and friends!” The accompanying picture features her frolicking across the grass and past a sprinkler, in what appears to be a floral-print bikini. Additional pictures feature her friends (including artist Alia Penner) playing Monopoly and enjoying cheeses off of a charcuterie board. Celebrity Chef Courtney McBroom remarked “One of the greatest Palm Springs adventures to date,” revealing the location of the resort where the pictures were taken.

Larson’s Instagram is full of pictures like those, featuring her enjoying life and showing off her quirky sense of style. Occasionally, Brie Larson will post a picture from the set of one of her films, as she recently did with Fast X, sharing a picture with Vin Diesel and conveying her gratitude for joining the cast of the hit franchise. “Excited doesn’t even begin to explain how I feel about joining the Fast family,” she posted in April. Fast X is currently filming, with a planned 2023 release. She also posted a picture of a recent ZOOM meeting in which she met Iman Vellani, star of the Disney+ series Ms. Marvel, for the first time. The two will star together in The Marvels, due out next year in theaters.

It’s been six years since Brie Larson hit superstardom, winning the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in Room. Following that, she had notable roles in Kong: Skull Island and The Glass Castle, before landing the role of Captain Marvel for the 2019 film. It’s been more than three years since Brie Larson appeared as the spacefaring hero in Avengers: Endgame, with only a brief cameo last year in the credits scene in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings to hold us over. However, a select number of cruise ship passengers just witnessed her latest adventure. She recently appeared as Captain Marvel in a short video that’s playing on the Disney cruise ship the Disney Wish. The video plays during the Avengers: Quantum Encounter fan experience featured on the cruise. The video also features Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Evangeline Lily as The Wasp, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, and Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel. Larson shows up in character to help defeat Ultron’s army of robots, much to the delight of passengers. You’ll find her at about the ten minute mark in the video.
