Amber Heard is currently going through a few press appearances after losing her counter lawsuit against ex-husband Johnny Depp. She recently sat down with Savannah Guthrie on the NBC News program, Today. While being interviewed, Heard let it be known how she feels about losing this landmark case, and where she plans to go from here. Much like Depp, Heard exclaimed that she had been telling the truth, though the jury did not see it that way. What was most interesting about the interview was when Heard spoke about still loving Depp. According to the actress, “I love him. I loved him with all my heart. And I tried the best I could to make a deeply broken relationship work. I couldn’t. No bad feelings or ill will towards him at all.” You can see the interview below:

Both parties had claimed they would move on from the trial no matter the outcome, but it appears as if Amber Heard is going a much different route. Johnny Depp has not appeared in any public video or interviews; he merely posted a thank you message to his fans via his social media pages. Now Heard might be attempting to play the “good person” by appearing in interviews and still speaking about her love for the man. What is more interesting is that she claims that the op-ed was never about Depp, but more about putting power back into the voices of women who have gone through abuse. While that might seem noble, the entirety of her defense in court was to detail the harrowing abuse that Depp put her through.

There have been rumors stating that Johnny Depp was not attempting to sue Amber Heard for money, but more for the truth to come out. His lawyers have even hinted that they would drop the $8.35 million that Heard now owes him in damages if she and her legal team would stop their appeal. Basically, it sounds as if Depp’s team is attempting to get her to filly accept guilt in that she had been making up the claims that she had been horribly abused by Depp. There has been no confirmation about the merit of that claim, or if Heard’s legal team plans to pursue it.

Amber Heard has clearly been feeling the backlash of losing her case, as it had been indicated that she might not have the money to pay back Johnny Depp. Also, it was rumored that she had been cut completely out of Aquaman 2 and was being recast. The actress has since debunked that rumor and claims to still be in the film. We will have to wait to see if that is true.

Although Amber Heard has claimed that she still loves Johnny Depp, she did just drag him through a long and arduous six-week trial, which has been taxing for all parties concerned. The feelings of love might not be felt by Mr. Depp, and for obvious reasons. Depp might change his mind somewhere down the road, but for now, he is likely not going to be publicly telling people he loves his ex-wife back.
