Star Wars Celebration continues to break out some fantastic announcements on the Star Wars front. There has been no shortage of trailers and casting announcements that have filled this week with excitement. Now it appears as if everyone’s favorite rebellious clone trooper squad is back. Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 has officially dropped its trailer, which offers up some excitable moments. The Emperor is shown addressing what appears to be The Senate, as he claims “it is time for the new era.” Also, we get a quick glimpse of a Wookie with a green lightsaber. Gungi is his name, and he is one of the few Wookies who has ever wielded a lightsaber. Try not to get excited about that. You can see the trailer below:

There is a strong indication that there is a bit of a time jump in Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2, as the crew seems to look a bit older. Also, they have all changed their outfits a bit too. This could be due to the fighting that the group has been involved in since we last saw them at the end of season one. Clearly, that time jump is going to be addressed, but there is a lot going on in the trailer. We see a group that is unwavering in its attempt to make money through dangerous missions and save who it can in the process. A woman talks to Clone Force 99, as she comments on the way the galaxy is changing, mainly pointing to the villainous rise of The Emperor. There has been no mention if Ian McDiarmid is returning to voice The Emperor, but it sounds just like him. Also, it looks to be like Gungi has made his way from Star Wars: The Clone Wars into this new season. He is shown time in the trailer with his signature green lightsaber.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 will see Dee Bradley Baker return to voice all of The Bad Batch. Michelle Ang is also returning to voice Omega, the female trooper who has joined the group. On top of dropping a trailer that shows many flashes of some amazing moments, the release window has also been revealed. Dave Filoni, the executive producer of the series, revealed that The Bad Batch would be returning sometime this fall. That could mean anywhere between October and December, but that is still not a long time to wait. There is a ton of new Star Wars content dropping on Disney+, and it is going to be exciting to see all these storylines play out.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 will officially drop in the fall, and that is just another on the list of upcoming shows that will be out within months of one another. The Mandalorian Season 3 drops in February and it is all but likely we get to see Ahsoka come out around the same time, if not a couple of months later. Star Wars Celebration has offered some of the best news this weekend, and we are thrilled to see all these new properties expand even further.
