Never typically one to say no to showing off her famous curves for the camera, Carmen Electra seems to enjoy making headlines wherever she goes. From frolicking on Southern California beaches in the internationally successful series Baywatch, to her days being briefly married to Chicago Bulls Basketball Hall of Fame player Dennis Rodman, Electra often brings controversy to her stunning modeling work. Now, Carmen Electra has posted a sexy video to social media to announce a salacious new project to add to her portfolio.

In the video, Carmen Electra makes it known to her 1.4 million Instagram followers that she has joined OnlyFans, and now has an active page of her own. Bringing back some of the pop culture moments that once made Electra a star, the Ohio born media personality includes scenes from her famous work in the video, including her performances in Baywatch, Scary Movie, and others. Commenting on the news highlighted in the post, Carmen Electra captioned the sexy video saying, “Come watch me be the boss woman I am!

As Carmen Electra announces this new endeavor with her sexy video, now may be a good time for other noteworthy people to understand just exactly what OnlyFans is to begin with. OnlyFans is a subscription based service where those that have pages can earn money from those that follow them. As opposed to Instagram, Twitter, and other social media platforms, these fans pay their favorite creators on a monthly basis to provide the content they expect from the specific people they follow. In the past, this has included pornographic content, but OnlyFans is not just for sex workers, according to The New York Times. As of this writing, OnlyFans was started in 2016, has more than 2 million content creators, and 130 million users, according to CNBC.

There have been other platforms besides OnlyFans that famous names take to in order to promote their projects and connect with their fans. One well-known entity is Cameo, which also launched in 2016. While Carmen Electra is not currently available on Cameo, according to her sexy video announcement, she will now be on OnlyFans. Other celebrities have used Cameo to get paid singing happy birthday to their fans, or wishing them luck on a special occasion or life milestone. It has become one of the more effective ways for celebrities to communicate with their fans, outside of standard social media and OnlyFans.

When her star began to rise in the 1990s, Carmen Electra seemed unstoppable when it came to showing off her looks and body. Beginning in the late 1990s, Electra hosted the MTV dating show Singled Out, after Jenny McCarthy left the series to pursue other acting roles. After successful turns on Baywatch and Scary Movie, Electra became more known for playing herself in movies rather than fictional characters. She followed up her work on Scary Movie with the similar parody genre films Date Movie, Epic Movie, Disaster Movie, and Meet the Spartans. Footage from some of those parts can be seen in Carmen Electra’s sexy video post. Electra was last seen onscreen as a guest host in the television competition series Domino Masters, with no current plans for future acting roles outside of her OnlyFans work.
