Arnold Schwarzenegger has had a storied career in Hollywood, on top of being the Governor of California for a brief period. Now it appears as if his son is following in his footsteps. Patrick Schwarzenegger is cultivating a nice career of his own, and he has now been cast in a high-profile role for a spinoff series for Amazon Prime. What series is that? None other than The Boys, which is arguably is the best series that is produced by Amazon. Naturally, when a show does good, spinoffs occur. That is the case for a spinoff of The Boys that will revolve around college life of some sort. Patrick is reportedly taking on the role of Golden Boy.

The Boys is a series that is based on a graphic novel of the same name. The raucous show pulls no punches when it comes to grotesque action sequences. The Boys is essentially what it would be like if the Justice League went evil. Or if they all turned into deep narcissists without a care for human life. The original run of the graphic novel ran from 2006 to 2012 and was created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. The comic series had 72 issues and featured a massive number of characters. Plenty to be used for spinoffs of the Amazon series. In fact, The Boys: Diabolical is already an animated spinoff that features even more gory action that might push the live-action series too much. Now Patrick Schwarzenegger gets his chance to enter this new universe. He is being joined by Sean Patrick Thomas and Marco Pigossi.

Sean Patrick Thomas recently starred alongside Denzel Washington in The Tragedy of Macbeth. He is reportedly going to play Polarity. Marco Pigossi famously starred in Invisible City. He is said to be playing Dr. Cardosa. The new spinoff series is described as part-college life mixed with Hunger Games. The superheroes aka “supes” are meant to compete against one another for the best contracts in the city. The new spinoff promises to bring the same level of ridiculous gore and R-rated action that the original series has brought forth. Patrick Schwarzenegger is said to have an important recurring role, so he may just be one of the competing superheroes in the series. This could have the makings of another twister superhero hit on Amazon, Invincible. That show also deals with a superhero kid who balances his life to save the world and college life at the same time. This animated series also features a ton of adult-level gore.

Season three of The Boys is set to premiere on Amazon Prime on June 3rd. Plenty of fans, including we, have been patiently waiting to see what crazy action the supes get themselves into in the upcoming season. We might be seeing Patrick Schwarzenegger and the new supes break into the third season of The Boys and then fly off into their own spinoff adventure. This new spinoff series might be a bit off in terms of its debut but look out for the series later in 2023.
