The Dark Knight Rises star Anne Hathaway has a Dwayne-Johnson-level schedule of screen work on the way, but her latest is the miniseries WeCrashed alongside Jared Leto (Morbius). The series finale of WeCrashed begins streaming on Apple TV+ today, and to celebrate Anne Hathaway decided to give fans an amazing view of her legs. The scrumptious image comes from the premiere of the series, and it will make you wonder why she ever covers them up (except, you know, when it’s cold — that’s a pretty obvious reason).
Hathaway posted the photo to Instagram on Friday morning, and she told her fans that the specific shot she chose wasn’t an accident. The photo finds her laughing on a stairway, leaning against a rail, with one hand on the rail and the other covering part of her face. In the accompanying caption, Anne Hathaway writes that the image “sums up how over the moon I have been by all the love” her social media followers gave WeCrashed. You can see the photo below.
As noted by She Finds, Hathaway’s gorgeous one-sleeved dress is designed by David Koma. The cut-out goes all the way from her left shoulder to her right hip, exposing a black bra. It isn’t the first time Anne Hathaway has shown off the dress on social media. She posted shots from the premiere of WeCrashed the day the series began streaming on Apple TV+, including photos finding her accompanied by Leto; co-stars O-T Fagnbenle (Black Widow) and Kyle Marvin (The Climb); and WeCrashed executive producers Drew Crevello (The Grudge 2) and Lee Eisenberg (The Office). Though none of those images gave us as luscious a look at her legs as the one above. You can see those shots below.
Anne Hathaway’s next big screen project will soon have its film festival premiere at Cannes. Written and directed by James Gray (Ad Astra), and based on his life in pre-Reagan era Queens, Armageddon Time is a coming-of-age drama also starring Anthony Hopkins (The Silence of the Lambs) and Jeremy Strong (Succession). Armageddon Time almost had a much beefier cast in terms of star power. As noted by The Wrap; Robert De Niro, Oscar Isaac, and Donald Sutherland were all initially on board to appear in Armageddon Time. After Covid-19 delays pushed back production dates, however, the three were no longer attached.
Deadline reports that filming wrapped on another intriguing upcoming Anne Hathaway feature — Eileen. Based on the 2015 novel of the same name by Ottessa Moshfegh, Eileen will find Thomasin McKenzie (Jojo Rabbit) as the titular unhappy worker at a youth prison who becomes fascinated by the new hire Dr. Rebecca St. John (Hathaway). But when Hathaway’s character unveils a “dark secret,” what could be a romance turns into something much different. The film also stars Jefferson White (Yellowstone), Shea Whigham (Boardwalk Empire), Marin Ireland (Hell or High Water), and Owen Teague (It). Eileen is directed by William Oldroyd (Lady Macbeth) from a script by Moshfegh and Luke Goebel.
