Kevin Costner is currently one of the most talked-about celebrities. That has a lot to do with the fact that he is the main protagonist in one of the most popular television series on the air right now. Yellowstone is continually breaking records and has already birthed two spin-off shows. Now that Costner is deeply involved in this universe, he revealed what fans want to know most when they see him in public. Where most would think asking the man a personal question about his acting journey would be the way to go, fans immediately ask him for plot point questions. According to him, “I have people come up to me and say, ‘What are you going to do about Beth?'” He added, “I was like, ‘What?’ they want to know how to meet her or what I’m going to do about her.”
The hilarious nature of this question is that people seem to be coming up to Kevin Costner and truly believe that he is John Dutton in the flesh. While he certainly plays that character on the television show, he is most certainly just an actor. The fans want to know what he is going to do about his fictional daughter. Beth is certainly a handful in the show. Though she is a highly intelligent manipulator, she suffers from a substance abuse problem as well. She is certainly a child that is putting her parents through a heap of trouble. Apparently, that means that Costner must then tell fans what he plans to do about her potentially bringing more trouble to his doorstep. Costner also shared a hilarious anecdote about the film, Tin Cup. He played a golfer in that film and landed second in the US Open. He claims that when people see him golf in real life they often say, “God, he’s just not that good.”
Sometimes people can’t differentiate the life of an actor from the roles they are constantly portraying. Honestly, that should be an honor of sorts for Kevin Costner. He is such a good actor that he can fool people into thinking that he is that character in real life. That’s some skill. Fans will have to unfortunately wait to see what John Dutton plans to do with Beth. Though Yellowstone was renewed for a fifth season in February, there is no official release date yet. The new season will be split into two parts with both having seven episodes each. The conclusion of the fourth season saw Beth create an uncomfortable situation that might come back and potentially ruin the Dutton family. That could be why fans are so dead set on trying to get the information from the man himself.
Yellowstone Season 5 might not be released until the fall of 2022. There are rumors that production on the series will not start until May of this year, leaving the show to air later in the year. The newest spin-off titled, 1932, is also set to air right alongside the first segment of the fifth season. The new 1932 series is set to follow a group of the Dutton family that made their name during The Great Depression. It might be some time until the cliffhangers of the fourth season of Yellowstone are set to be answered. For now, maybe leave Kevin Costner alone. He is likely not going to share crucial plot points with anyone.
