Kraven The Hunter Casts Fan-Favorite Spider-Man Assassin, See The New Villain

Kraven the Hunter is Marvel’s newest film from Sony Pictures, and the villain has possibly been cast. The villain that is set to be portrayed in the film is The Foreigner, one of Spider-Man’s biggest enemies, and although confirmation has yet to be officially released, it appears Christopher Abbott might be playing the role of the baddie. Abbott is joining a list of top and talented actors, which will make this upcoming film very interesting to watch, especially with the characters that will appear in the movie.
Kraven the Hunter is set to be released in theaters not this year, but sometime in January 2023. Since characters are slowly still being cast, the production has yet to enter full swing. Some other cast members in the upcoming Marvel film include Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ariana DeBose, Russell Crowe, and Alessandro Nivola, according to Deadline. The villains in the Marvel films always bring the action and story to life, so it will be interesting to see The Foreigner portrayed on the big screen. The villain doesn’t exactly have superhero powers, but instead, has amazing skills in martial arts. The Foreigner won’t be the only enemy to be defeated in the film. Alessandro Nivola will also be cast as a villain in the movie.

According to Collider, Kraven is more of an antihero, and the film will focus on that character. Kraven the Hunter was introduced way back in the Spider-Man comic books starting in 1964, according to The Wrap. The character’s main goal is always to outsmart and defeat Spider-Man. Although Kraven is one of Spider-Man’s main enemies, the character has also come across other superheroes, such as the Black Panther. With the Marvel Universe continuously expanding as time goes on, it is nice that fans get the chance to be able to see a wide range of villains, antiheroes, and superheroes come to life on the big screen.
It has been confirmed that Christopher Abbott is cast in Kraven the Hunter, and whether he will be playing The Foreigner is still floating about without a positive confirmation. However, Abbott has had a successful career so far in the industry, having starred in films and television shows. The actor has starred in the miniseries titled Catch-22 and the film Black Bear. Abbott has also appeared in television shows such as Girls. For his lead role in Catch-22, Abbott was recognized for his strong performance and received a Golden Globe for Best Actor nomination for his role. With Abbott’s talent to take on a wide range of roles, it makes perfect sense that he now plays the role of an iconic villain in the Marvel Universe.
However, for now, we will have to wait for the official confirmation. But fans are already on board with the idea of Abbott playing The Foreigner in Kraven the Hunter. So far, the list of characters that will be played in the film would be great to see come to life in the Marvel Universe. With the amount of talented and renowned actors cast, there is no doubt this project will be worth the wait.
