See Adam Scott Tease Return To His Best Series
He's on his way back and he's got the photos to prove it!

A short-lived series many to consider Adam Scott’s best is on its way back! We’re not talking about Parks & Recreation and Severance just started so we clearly don’t mean that. No, instead we’re talking about the two season Starz series Party Down. The revival is on the way and in the middle of filming, Scott took a break to give fans a look.
Adam Scott posted the photo to his official Instagram account yesterday with three of his Party Down revival co-stars. The caption reads, “All smiles, but these people are the worst…” Besides Scott the only other original cast member is Ryan Hansen (Veronica Mars) who plays Kyle. They’re joined by Zoë Chao (Love Life) and Tyrel Jackson Williams (Failure to Launch). Entertainment Weekly says Williams is playing an Internet influencer named Sackson while Chao is Lucy, with dreams of becoming a celebrity chef. You can see the photo below.
While they’re not pictured, Jennifer Garner (Alias) and James Marsden (X-Men) are also joining the cast of the revival miniseries. Garner is playing movie producer Evie and Marsden will play an actor known for portraying a popular superhero.
In the meantime, almost the entire original cast is returning with Adam Scott including Jane Lynch (Glee), Ken Marino (The State), Martin Starr (Freaks and Geeks), and Megan Mullally (Will & Grace). The only member of the original series’ cast who’s had to pass is Lizzy Caplan (Cloverfield), who already had a prior commitment to the FX miniseries Fleishman Is in Trouble.
Party Down originally aired on Starz between 2009 and 2010 with Adam Scott starring as an actor who retreats to his old safety job of catering when his career plateaus with a memorable beer commercial. The rest of the cast included the tightly wound recovering addict Ron (Marino), the dim-witted aspiring actor Kyle, and the has-been Constance (Lynch). Critics absolutely adored the sitcom but low ratings, Scott’s casting on Parks & Recreation, and Lynch’s job on Glee all conspired to give the show a short life.
Party Down isn’t the only Adam Scott show that’s creating buzz. The Ben Still directed Severance on Apple TV+ is a breed apart from anything the actor has ever done. Combining elements of Kafka-esque, dystopian science fiction and contemporary workplace sitcoms, Severance paints a horrifying picture of the American workplace. It also offers an incredible cast including Christopher Walken, John Turturro, and Patricia Arquette. The series’ office workers agree to a program in which their work memories are separated from their non-work memories.
There’s no word yet on exactly when Party Down fans can expect Adam Scott and co. to return to their dead-end catering jobs. But considering the 6-episode miniseries is currently filming, it’s a good bet the show will air on Starz either in late 2022 or early 2023. When we know more, we’ll make sure you know more.
