Actor Alexandra Daddario posted one of her trademark wide-eyed glamor shots on social media today, and like always, it is a stunner. In the picture posted to Instagram today, the star of The White Lotus and Can You Keep A Secret stands in front of a floor length bay window, her head tilted back and away from the camera as her hair falls over her shoulder. She is wearing an exquisite red gown with matching red lipstick, and looks simply divine. The post is specifically thanking Kate Somerville Skincare for some last minute touches, and the caption is tagged with #sagawards. That makes sense, considering Daddario was announced as one of the Screen Actor Guild Awards Ambassadors for 2022, along with actor Ross Butler. Check out the image here:
Alexandra Daddario began her acting career on the venerable ABC soap opera All My Children. She came to more prominence in the Percy Jackson franchise of films, playing Annabeth Chase (the daughter of the Greek goddess Athena); the movies were adapted from Rick Riordan’s young adult fantasy series, and attempted to capture the magic of the Harry Potter movie series. Unlike JK Rowlings’ work, the franchise only made it to two installments, The Lightning Thief and Sea of Monsters. Daddario appeared in both films. For a number of years after, she appeared in relatively minor films and had guest spots or recurring roles on various TV shows. It was not till HBO’s True Detective that she made another splash, as the high profile prestige series featured her in four episodes (and much discussed nudity). Daddario starred in her most high profile role yet in the first season of Mike White’s HBO series The White Lotus in 2021. Although she received much attention for her portrayal of a struggling journalist vacationing at the titular resort, she has not been brought back to the anthology series.
The actor has as much talent with her social media posting as she does on TV, and it shows. Whether she is coyly making a show out of needing tennis lessons or decked out in green sparkle and furry pink shoes, she certainly knows how to make an impression on Instagram. You should especially make the effort to go to the second slide in most of her posts, which often have close-ups of her famously vivid blue eyes. Sadly, Alexandra Daddario was in the news more recently for the frightening situation of an armed man being arrested outside of her Los Angeles home. The man has been reported to have had a loaded firearm and yelling unspecified things addressed to her, but police reports are still vague as to the actual details of the event. Thankfully, no one was harmed in the incident. And even more hopefully, Daddario will have a good time at the Screen Actor Guild Awards. At the very least, there is a good chance there is something new at HBO being built up for her.
