Marvel Fans Campaigning For An Overdue Trailer Release
They want their trailer and they want it now!

Marvel fans want their trailer, they want it now, and they’re going to bang pots and pans (figuratively, of course) on social media until they get it! In case you haven’t noticed, Thor: Love and Thunder has been trending on Twitter for the past couple of days, and it’s all about the trailer. Even though we’re still busy dissecting the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer, and figuring out which past Marvel actors and even almost-were Marvel actors may or may not appear in that sequel, Marvel fans still want their preview of Thor 4.
As with everything else on social media, the discussion about the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder trailer is heading in every different direction. Rumors are rampant that the trailer will drop sometime this week, and fans are busy spreading those reports. Whether or not it happens, we can’t tell you just yet, but this is starting to feel quite a bit like all the nail-biting over the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer.
Some aren’t so much speculating for Marvel to release the trailer as much as they are, well… begging? Pleading? Praying? Yes, we think all three of those words and more could accurately describe what’s going on. Along with “demanding.”
Last June, Tom Hiddleston confirmed that he will not be appearing in Thor: Love and Thunder. It’s clear from all the Twitter campaigning that there are a lot of Marvel fans who either don’t believe Hiddleston — and considering all the denials leading up to Spider-Man: No Way Home, who can blame them — or just don’t want to believe him. They don’t just want a Love and Thunder trailer — they want one with Loki.
And then — as always with Twitter — there are some fans who are just being a little weird and kind of, well, packaging their social media demands. One user not only wants Marvel to release the trailer for the next Thor, but wants a trailer for Black Adam too. Which, okay, who doesn’t? But then there’s the guy who totally wants a Thor trailer, but only after an Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer. Someone get a pad of paper and pen and make sure to get the exact order in which this guy wants all of this year’s trailers.
Whether or not we get a trailer this week, we have seen a steady trickle of updates surrounding Marvel’s next Thor flick this week and the end of last week. Some images of action figures for Jane Foster aka the Mighty Thor confirmed that the Natalie Portman who transforms into a new version of Thor will, in fact, be the prime MCU version of the character and not a multiverse variant. Then, on Monday promotional images for an upcoming LEGO set gave us our first clear (albeit, LEGO-ified) look at Christian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher, while at the same time confirming that Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie will carry the title of King in the upcoming sequel.
If the Thor: Love and Thunder trailer does drop this week, then you know we’ll cover it as soon as it does. Who knows? According to a not-so-subtle hint dropped by the actor, Peter Dinklage might be in the trailer, reprising his role as the dwarf smith Eitri.
