Marisa Tomei has a lot to be happy about this week, with the big release of Spider-Man: No Way Home. She certainly looks happy too. She’s making the publicity rounds for the new Spidey movie and her latest Instagram post shows her kicking back in a high-cut black dress and smiling while she waits to go on The Late Show with Seth Meyers. Check out the post below:

The 57-year old actress looks amazing as ever and seems to be taking the same aging-backward potion as fellow Marvel star Paul Rudd. Tomei is probably most known for her roles in The Wrestler and her Oscar-winning turn in My Cousin Vinny. Lately, she’s been in the spotlight for her role as May Parker, aka Aunt May, in the Marvel/Sony Spider-Man movies.

Marisa Tomei’s version of Aunt May is younger than the on-screen portrayals we’ve seen of the character before. But she definitely fulfills that ‘cool Aunt’ role well and has a great rapport with her co-star Tom Holland (Peter Parker/Spider-Man). Tomei’s good looks also often lead to some humorous scenes where other characters hit on her character or tell Peter how hot his Aunt is, much to his chagrin. It’s also cool to see a younger and more capable Aunt May since the other movie depictions of the character showed her as more elderly.

Other than Spider-Man: No Way Home, Maria Tomei looks to have plenty of new projects coming our way. To round out 2021, she’s starring in a short called A Better Half. Her other upcoming projects don’t have a release date attached yet, but they’re titled Delia’s Gone and She Came to Me. Delia’s Gone looks to be a revenge thriller of sorts while She Came to Me is a dramedy about a composer suffering writer’s block before finding a muse in a one-night stand.

But if you want to see a Marisa Tomei performance as soon as possible, Spider-Man: No Way Home will be your best bet. The third entry in the Sony/Marvel Spider-Man trilogy sees Spider-Man dealing with the worldwide reveal of his identity as Peter Parker to the world. Looking to erase the memory of this reveal, he turns to the Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch). This leads to the opening of the multiverse and the appearance of multiple Spidey villains from other Spider-Man movie franchises.

Marisa Tomei is reprising her role as Aunt May alongside Tom Holland’s Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Zendaya’s MJ, and Jacob Batalon’s Ned. The returning villains include Norman Osborne/Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), Doctor Otto Octavius/Doc Octopus (Alfred Molina), and Max Dillon/Electro (Jamie Foxx). Jon Watts, who also directed Spider-Man: Homecoming and Far from Home, returns to finish out the trilogy. The screenplay was written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.
