There are few films as heavily anticipated and talked about as Spider-Man: No Way Home. This has been especially true after the trailer dropped, proving fan theories about the multiverse and the multitude of villains that are present. From Doc Ock (Spider-Man 2) to Electro (The Amazing Spider-Man 2), the new installment seems to bridge the gap between all previous films and possibly serve as a send-off for Tom Holland. As more rumors have proven true about the film, fans have looked at the project more closely than ever, searching for clues as to what happens in the movie. This is something the studio is well aware of, and apparently, they’re having a little fun with it. Marvel recently took to Twitter to troll fans with a shot of the film, claiming that they were shocked no one had “zoomed in” to see a spoiler.

You can see the Spider-Man: No Way Home update below.

The hilarious thing is that there is no spoiler or confirmed rumor to even worry about in this Tweet. Zooming in will show some hidden text that simply states, “Hope you’re having a good day.” Way to troll everyone Marvel and Spider-Man: No Way Home. The whole “zoom in at your own risk” tag certainly did not help things. This is a clever marketing ploy to get fans talking even more about a film that hasn’t seen the light of day yet. However, with showings beginning this Thursday, there isn’t much longer to wait to find out if fans were right all along about their many theories.

The fact that Marvel decided to mess with fans, even more, shows how they are willing to go to great lengths to protect the secrets of their films. Many fans have been reacting to the Tweet sharing their own expectations for the movie and the pic itself.

The hilarious response above by this Twitter user was to troll even more people with the whole “hair on the phone” trick while using the mashed up and disappointed Mike Wasowski and Sully meme. They hadn’t realized the Spider-Man: No Way Home official page had actually posted this troll meme. We’re disappointed too.

Another Twitter user decided to give the “hair on phone” person what they asked for. A superimposed Goku on the building in the background. Notice the orange figure on the building above Zendaya in the picture below.

With all the villains and potential other Spider-Man iterations appearing in Spider-Man: No Way Home, why not add in Goku for good measure? It is the multiverse after all.

The Spider-Man: No Way Home Twitter page currently has 2 million followers, and this picture rapidly went viral over the weekend. In the two days since it was posted, it has racked up 90000 likes, which might be chock full of fans ready to storm the streets with being tricked into thinking they got a spoiler. They could just wait for Tom Holland to ruin something in an interview, but the Marvel brass may be keeping him away from all interviewing until the film comes out.

You have to hand it to the marketing team for this film whether this comes from Sony or Marvel. Even when they are seemingly releasing a spoiler that isn’t a spoiler, it’s enough to send the internet into a frenzy. But regardless of them playing with everyone’s emotions, and the fans clamoring for some sort of clarification about where this final movie may go, Spider-Man: No Way Home comes out in less than a week. Be patient webheads.
