Spring may be the season to frolic but according to Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom star Amber Heard, right now is the season to frock. The actress wore a gorgeous new dress to celebrate a fashion release. Thankfully, she was kind of enough to post a gorgeous photo to social media so we could all enjoy the view.
Amber Heard posted the image to her Instagram, from the back seat of a car. Giving the camera one of her best come hither looks, the actress wore a cream, embellished midaxi frock. She captioned the photo, “It’s officially frock season y’all” while offering thanks and congratulations to English fashion designer Alice Temperley. You can see the photo below.
According to the Daily Mail, Amber Heard’s photo was taken either on the way to or from London’s Groucho Club last night. Heard was there for the launch of the collection Annie’s Archive by Alice Temperley. Other celebrities at the club wrapped in their sexiest outfits include singer Pixie Lott and Tigerlily Taylor, daughter of Queen drummer Roger Taylor.
The upcoming superhero blockbuster Aquaman and the Last Kingdom is filming in London, and Amber Heard is reprising the role of Mera — the Queen of Atlantis and a formidable warrior with or without the help of Jason Momoa’s Aquaman. Heard originated the role in 2017’s Justice League, but enjoyed a much larger role the following year in Aquaman. She also made a surprise appearance in the non-canonical Zack Snyder’s Justice League earlier this year as part of a small group of surviving heroes in a dystopian wasteland. Heard has made sure to keep her Mera fans appraised, including posting a beautiful selfie from the set while donning the bright red hair of Mera.
Aquaman and the Last Kingdom‘s first teaser trailer broadcast during the DC FanDome event last month, which mostly included behind the scenes shots of the production. Amber Heard wasn’t in the teaser much, though you do get to see her throw a punch or two. You can see the teaser below.
Quiet a few fans were hoping for Amber Heard to no longer have anything to do with the Aquaman franchise or the DCEU. After the release of audio recordings in which Heard seemed to admit to not only physically abusing Johnny Depp during their marriage, but to believe she would do it again, fans campaigned to get Mera recast. In July, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom producer Peter Safran told Deadline there was never much threat of Heard getting the boot. Meanwhile, Heard’s ex-husband Johnny Depp has found Hollywood to have few safe ports left to him. He was pushed out of his role as the villain Grindewald in the Fantastic Beasts film series and Depp claims Minamata, his latest film, is allegedly being withheld by MGM because of Depp’s fall from grace.
