Jeff Bezos wants Leonardo DiCaprio to know he could be sleeping with the fishes if he doesn't straighten his act--but not really.

What do you do when you make one of the richest men in the world jealous? Judging by Jeff Bezos’ Twitter account, Leonardo DiCaprio might be finding out soon. Not really, of course, but the Amazon founder did post a photo on social media implying that — like Kate Winslet — he wouldn’t have scooched over on the famous floating door either.
Jeff Bezos posted the tweet in question on Monday. The billionaire wrote “Leo, come over here, I want to show you something,” and then tagged DiCaprio. The attached photo shows Bezos leaning on a sign that warns of a fatal cliff drop beyond. You can see the tweet for yourself below.
Jeff Bezos’ tweet is a joking response to a video that went viral of Bezos’ girlfriend — news anchor Lauren Sanchez — acting flirtatious with Leonardo DiCaprio. The brief exchange happened during the LACMA Art+Film Gala in L.A. on Saturday. The video seemed to have most of social media wondering if Bezos had something to be concerned about.
Now that Bezos has responded with his shirtless shot near the edge of a cliff, Twitter is having a blast responding the billionaire’s threat. At the top of the list of course, are the funny responses. Many of the funnier posts suggest Bezos won’t get back at Leonardo DiCaprio with violence, but through other, very Bezos-specific means.
There are also Jeff Bezos supporters doing their best to lift his spirits. Many of these words of encouragement remind the billionaire that, at the age of 51, Lauren Sanchez is over twice the age of most of Leonardo DiCaprio’s romantic partners. Others go the route of reminding Bezos of the superior size of his bank account.
And apparently because there always has to be, there are some people taking the whole thing a little too seriously. As in, they actually see this as a pivotal and earth-shaking moment in Bezos’ relationship with Lauren Sanchez. They hope to impart their “wisdom” on Bezos and perhaps even benefit themselves.
Among the folks on Twitter who aren’t laughing are those who take issue with Jeff Bezos’ money, how he made it, and what he does with it. You might think they would still find a way to laugh at this faux feud, but you’d be wrong. The tweets below make it clear they still don’t think the founder of Amazon is funny.
Ironically, in Leonardo DiCaprio’s next film, he won’t be worried about falling down for Jeff Bezos, but of looking up — at least, that’s according to the title. In the upcoming disaster comedy Don’t Look Up, DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence play astronomers who must embark on a media tour to warn the world of an impending collision with an asteroid. The film is co-written and directed by Adam McKay, known for Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Step Brothers, and Vice.
Don’t Look Up releases on Netflix on December 10, and its ensemble cast includes Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Jonah Hill, Cate Blanchett, Ron Perlman, Tyler Perry, Michael Chiklis, Meryl Streep and more. Who knows? Maybe if DiCaprio had offered Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez some cameos, it would have taken care of the death threats.
