Ben Affleck’s Batman Getting Killed In The Flash?
Could The Flash movie be the end for Ben Affleck as Batman? The latest rumor has him not making it out of the movie alive.

Ben Affleck is going to get back into the Batsuit at least one more time in the DC Extended Universe in The Flash following the events of Zack Snyder’s Justice League. While the future of this part of the franchise is unclear, this next movie looks like it will make healthy (or unhealthy) use of the DC version of Multiverse. But will this be Ben Affleck’s last turn as the Caped Crusader? Could he meet his end in this next movie? Geekosity has it that Ben Affleck’s Batman will die in The Flash, possibly marking the end of his run as the character.
According to this latest rumor, Ben Affleck is killed because the main villain in the movie has made it a point to kill off all other superheroes in the DC multiverse, starting with the different Batmans and then moving on to the versions of The Flash. This villain would be none other than another version of the Flash, one from a universe that had him break bad and go crazy.
In The Flash, the DC Extended Universe is experimenting for the first time with their own version of the Multiverse. Though it is likely to have significant differences in construction and execution from its Marvel counterpart. In this film, we know Ben Affleck is reprising the Bruce Wayne/ Batman role, but he won’t be the only one in cape and cowl. Michael Keaton is reprising his original role as well and this evil Flash will be from that universe, the one that started on the big screen in 1989 with Tim Burton at the helm.
Again, how we get to this point with Ben Affleck possibly meeting his end at the hands of an evil Flash remains to be seen. Obviously, Ezra Miller’s good Flash will have something to say about it before it’s all said and done, but this move would beginning to distance the DC Extended Universe some from the core Justice Leaguers, especially ones who might not want the role long term like Affleck.
It looked like from the events of Zack Snyder’s Justice League that we could see more Ben Affleck for DC, especially after Bruce Wayne envisioned the Knightmare timeline at the end. That painted the picture of a (very) dystopian future in which Superman had gone off the rails following the death of Lois Lane and Jared Leto’s Joker was now some weird homicidal sheriff. But that wouldn’t come to fruition if this is it for Affleck.
Ben Affleck has had a somewhat tumultuous time in his role as Batman since taking the role originally for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It was an inauspicious and plodding start for the character, not made all that much better in the Justice League follow up with Joss Whedon at the helm. There was some course correction with the Snyder cut, but likely not enough to totally save this team. Though DC seems committed to keeping Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman and now Miller’s Flash in the mix, Affleck and Henry Cavill as Superman are probably on their way out.
