The Witcher Season 2 Gets A Creepy Teaser
Recently, The Witcher Season 2 wrapped up its production and we already have a brand new clip giving a brief glimpse of what's next.

After the recent news that Netflix’s The Witcher Season 2 had wrapped its filming, fans have been excitedly waiting for some new information about the upcoming chapter in the adventures of Geralt of Rivia. And now Netflix has released the first official look at Season 2 via a new clip that is both exciting and very, very ominous.
This new clip of The Witcher Season 2 has been released as a part of Netflix’s official Geeked Week, throughout which the streamer has been highlighting its original series and releasing new teasers of upcoming seasons as well as new shows. This first-look clip has been posted on The Witcher’s Twitter account, along with the caption “Destiny awaits the Lion Cub of Cintra in Season 2.” It gives us our first glimpse at our young protagonist i.e., Geralt’s new ward Ciri, who is bound to him by the Law of Surprise, in Season 2.
The short teaser establishes, even in brief scenes and horrifying background sounds, that the path ahead of her is full of peril, pain, and as we hear towards the end of the video, “danger.” Though The Witcher Season 2 clip ends in a matter of seconds and does not include a single glimpse of our beloved monster-hunter, given Ciri’s cry of “No! Geralt!” he is either destined to face a serious mishap or commit an act that will shock the princess.
But for now, this clip and the admission by series creator Lauren S Hissrich that The Witcher Season 2 was in post-production back in May are the only updates available for the show. More information about the upcoming season will be revealed at an event called Witchercon, which is going to include exclusive behind-the-scenes videos, interviews, etc that will reveal more details about The Witcher Season 2.
The Witcher Season 2 will see Henry Cavill returning as Geralt of Rivia, Freya Allan as Ciri, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg, and Joey Batey as Jaskier along with new additions, which includes Kim Bodnia, Adjoa Andoh, and Graham McTavish. Bodom will be seen as Vesemir, an older witcher and a mentor for Geralt. Andoh will also be seen as another mentor for Geralt in the role of Nenneke while McTavish will be playing the part of the villainous Dijkstra, who is a spymaster and will possibly cross paths with Geralt. The season will also see Chris Fulton as Rience, Simon Callow as Codringher, Cassie Clare as Philippa Eilhart, one of the leaders of the Lodge of Sorceresses, Liz Carr as Fenn, and Kevin Doyle as Ba’lian.
While The Witcher Season 2 finished production in April, Netflix boss Ted Sarandos has recently revealed that the upcoming season will be released by the end of this year, somewhere between October to December. Incidentally, it won’t be the only release from The Witcher franchise in 2021 as an animated spin-off film titled The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, depicting the origin story of Geralt’s mentor and witcher Vesemir, is also slated for a 2021 release.
